And since bug, especially moths, can have light pass through them relatively easily, because they aren't very big.

An unfocused camera = blurry, and if you ever put your hand up to a camera, it will look all blurry because it is so close.

A bug like a moth, or something similar to it, would be out at that that time, and the light can pass through moths very easily, if you have ever seen them.
