I read all of the redwall books (I think, might have miss some, they were like the 1st books I ever read) & I liked them, & I haven't read a good book in a long time. . . so how good is it?
I really like the idea of owls wearing gauntlet-like weapons (with sharp blades) to fight.
@147Night The books were pretty good. The movie eh ok for me. They miss so many characters. And those weapons are on their feet right? I like the armour and the weapons. But I think they miss the ice daggers. (Thats a weapon in the book.)

Soren's parents in the Ga'Hoole tree, the High Tyto with Nyra and not Kludd were the two most out of all the parts that really got me upset cause they were both SOO unlike da books. i really like the books though :) and yes, those weapons are on their talons, the battle claws.

Anyone thinking of watching this i would highly reccomend it! The CGI was fantastic and so breathtaking! And the landscapes and skyscapes whee beautiful! As well as some impressive slow motion scenes that will look perfect in HD or Blu-ray. I've never read the books but the storyline was great and the voices convincing. I cant decide on the accent of the lead character though!
it was a good film it has very cliche plots but the overall film was really impressive i had very low expectations of it when i bought it for my younger brother but i ended up enjoying it , the film atmoshpere was really well designed the over all the film was achieved by the actors portrayel fo the charecters and the wonderful design i hope theres another film and they should make it apear less childish and more mature because the trailers really did not do it justice
@TheWalkthroughFreak Books are usually better than the movies. The only movies that I liked better then the books were Old Yeller; I thought the book was terrible and I read The Green Mile after I saw the movie, the book gave a lot more information which I usually like but in this case it was to much, learning about how all of the people that Paul cared about died, I didn't want or need to know that, it was enough to know that he out lived them all.

@08Hellboy Agreed!! I have found that quite a few movies that critics "Thumbs Downed" have been some of the best movies. I don't listen to critics I watch a movie and come to my own conclusions.
If you hadn't read the books then this movie is really quite a well written movie though in actuality if you wanted this movie to follow the original story then you are in for some disappointment. They covered a good portion of books 1-3 but for some strange reason decided to jump ahead to when the pure ones took over St.. Aegolius which doesnt happen until the end of book 5. Though on a more positive side the animation in this movie was phenomenal and like I said an overall acceptable stirring

@ZaRyuu I figured it wouldn't be like the books. I'm an avid reader, however, I have decided not to read these books because what I've seen of this movie, the scenery and the birds themselves, it is all very beautiful and I don't want to ruin my consept of this movie or possible movies to come by being disappointed that they have butchered the books. That is something I usually cannot tolerate, I will not watch Narnia because they have done that to them butchered the books.

My friend drag me to this movie and I really liked it. I'm not in to whole animation movie thing but I really loved this on 3D. You should watch it. Its really adorable.
My impression about this movie.....well, the movie is directed and acted brilliantly...acters are great in revealing their emotions. By the way, I have seen recently some others movies that are not yet available in cinemas...al that you can find at moovilek, for free, if you like!!

I'm an avid reader, however, I have decided not to read these books because what I've seen of this movie, the scenery and the birds themselves, it is all very beautiful and I don't want to ruin my consept of this movie or possible movies to come by being disappointed that they have butchered the books. That is something I usually cannot tolerate, I will not watch Narnia because they have done that to them butchered the books.

My impression about this movie.....well, the movie is directed and acted brilliantly...acters are great in revealing their emotions. By the way, I have seen recently some others movies that are not yet available in cinemas...al that you can find at moovilek, for free, if you like!!
