He gets back to actually talking about important stuff at 19:46. He does talk about a few things, but nothing to do with android code. EVERYBODY LIKE THIS COMMENT!!!
Why are GOOGLE THEMSELVES, posting videos @ anything LESS than 720p? This is completely stupid, and highly illogical! Unwatchable, due to lack of detail. You smart Americans REALLY SHOULD know better!
... and yet Google want people to trust them, and use Android, when they plainly cannot even get their act together and post something as simple as a HIGH DEFINITION PRESENTATION?
You are joking, right? I know you are, GoogleTards.
Due why dont you test it before you show it to the world. Probably there are a lot of people in this world thinking of going into which platform is good. I'm pretty sure you didn't give a nice impression to them.
Note to GoogleDevelopers: If you are going to show IDE usage and code, you need to at least support 720p video. Anything less and the video is useless. That is all. Thanks.
I agree the sound is too muffled and I can't see any of the code. Unfortunately without being able to see the code I was not able to benefit from the presentation.
@mgillespie I have both MacOS and Win7PC. Personally I find MacOS walks over the Win7PC, but that is just my preference - and Apple fully supports the OpenGL and HTML5.
It was the Eclipse IDE that crashed as evidenced when the phone emulator failed to respond in the first instance.
But LOL, they were ALL developing / demonstrating in the MacOS environment.
The resolution of this video is very poor. I cannot make out the Eclipse IDE. This makes much of the video useless. That being said if it was a better resolution it would be a great instructional video.
@theholydefender Accessibility is the primary issue that this video fails in, and GoogleDevelopers should be aware of, encourage the use of by example, and implement them as best practice in their instructional videos. One of these is captioning eg for the hearing impaired; even if this video was loud enough for the average user.
You do realize that any sort of machine will fail every so often. The Macintosh OS just does so a lot less than Windows. Linux is even more stable than both. As per the chaos theory, "All things tend towards chaos"
that is the laws of phyciis as stated by my friend stephen hawkings...lol evertyhing in teh unvierse will tend to go to teh other side of the FORCE...and it is a fact..sooner or later, anything in the universe will tend to die out...then a new beginning, like the 2012 theory..
Can you turn up the volume on this video please? I have the YouTube volume and my speaker volume at full blast and I still have trouble hearing some of what is said. Thank You.
Tutorials and screencasts are better for learning a system, and reading the slides directly from sites(.)google(.)com/site/io would be faster than watching the presentation. I watch Google's tech videos while exercising -- burn and learn.
It would be awesome to build an Android Application of my own.

These Bose headphones really help bring out the high-mids in the white noise fuzzing up that audio.

And about the video quality, according to wikipedia, HD was released in November 2008. This video was posted in June.
chibicitiberiu 5 months ago
To all of those complaining about volume... you are supposed to watch using Linux, where volume can go up to 150% :P
And I noticed that the maximum volume in windows 7 is about 60% in Linux.

normalizing the audio would have been nice... come on google.

Also it would help us a whole lot with better video and audio quality. Google should be able to do that.
