If you watched it, he was one of the reasons his brother lived to the age he did. His older brother looked out ONLY for them, nobody else.

His brother also helped Latika escape too.

Hes not a traitor in my eyes! He helped Jamal survive! With out Salim Jamal would have died long before he had a chance to know Latika!! Also Salim saved Latika twice! Sure he turned. But it was because he had a bad life and all he knew was money and how to survive doing what ever. He had a bad influance! But in the end he was the good guy and helped Latika free! Then Jamal was with Latika. I feel bad for Salim. His head looks oddly square-ular to me hahahaha.

"Jai Ho" the word is acutally come from "Sanskrit" language. According that word it encorage to person or people that May your be victory (jai ho) in battle. People more used to this word past 100 years ago in india.

Normally "Jai ho" people dont use it much in hindi. And by the way the word "JAI HO" is not hindi.

Congrats to AR Rahman. This is the best version hands down. You will really enjoy the song if you understand the lyrics. It is just not the beat - there is a lot more going on in this song. Very touching and sweet. I am a Pakistani and I want to congratulate India and AR Rahman for doing such a great job.

The actualy Hindi name of the show is called "kaun banega crorepathi" if I get the spelling correct! it means "who will be a millionaire?" and it's a totally real show actually they just renamed it that's all. And Jai Ho means "May you have victory" in english in Hindi there's a whole different meaning to it to those who speak the language (I speak it but can barely say a sentence correctly!).
