  • Voice over (VO) any and all dialog that was/is not critical to the action I.E. natural sound (NATS) and keep the VO levels over the nats (turn nats down under VO, up in nats) This from a Chief Photographer that had to learn this all the hard way, no it's not "artsy" but it is PRO bro! Thats over 10 years of Photography exp. in a few comments haha

  • 3) Make sure you get enough sequences and CW's in your footy to tell the story in the edit. IN EDIT use pro transitions ONLY. Direct cut-to's, dissolves, cross blur, flash, fade, use any slides or spins or page peels SPARINGLY if at all and be consistent. (Dissolve in, dissolve out)

  • 2) NEVER pan or tilt or zoom- only use these to follow action but not at once. (sports is different) Push in/ Pull out (P/PO) and follow (ISO= isolate subject) Don't zoom, always* use full frame and WALK CLOSER to the subject for your seq.

  • Shoot like a pro bro, follow these bro-tips: 1) Use SEQUENCES to tell the story- ALWAYS shoot (STATIC) shots and from a tripod. Compose shot using rule of 1/3rds (left or right- not middle, top or bottom) NO zooming/panning/etc. Shoot SEQs with 1 WIDE SHOT(WS), 1 MED (MS), 1 CLOSE UP (MCU), and a CUTAWAY (CW) [visual element like people/feet walking or bystanders/ crowd- something to use to cut to next sequence]
