  • Nutrias ! I've seen these down in Oaks Bottom. Wonder if they are good eats ! Got to try sometimes.

  • Muskrat = Groundhog = Woodchuck = Land-beaver = Marmota Monax = Same animal. ( Just dont let them try to mate with your little Subarus! )

  • There are nutrias on the coast too. They are rarely seen though. I'm glad to see you caught them on tape.

  • yea, I think its a nutria too. My cuz lives in Baton Rouge, they're all over the place down there. There were brought into this country for their pelts..

    Friendly animals but not for the dyks,they make holes in it.

    They look indeed like beavers when you don t know better but there there are differences between them.

    Beavers have a pointy snout flat tail and vins on there back legs and Muskrats have a round tail and a slightly larger head.

  • Dear God if there are Nutria this far north... we are screwed... you need to call animal control asap they have already taken over the south USA
