This sketch makes a good point about advertising. You'd never hear a commercial say something like "Point-four off the regular price!" or "Now with 5/10 more chips in every cookie!" The word "percent" just makes the number sound bigger, even if it means the same thing.
Don't forget a stereo from "Stefan's Stereo Stuff". THAT along with Harry's and Dite Lite is the third decimal/fraction/percentage skit on Square One.

I think it's the 70 that sounds bigger than the 7, and that's what makes it better for advertising. but that's just me.
