I have to admit I found Ripper wanting during his stint with Judas Priest, but that's probably my being biased because nobody can walk in the shadow of the Metal God. But Ripper sure rips the hell out of this track, it's almost as good as Bruce's original and that's the highest praise anyone can give.

Honestly, I'm sure he wouldn't sound too bad, but the Blaze albums were a very dark time for Maiden (or for Harris, rather and he was writing it all). Blaze definitely fit this atmosphere. So, as long as it wasn't for the songs Blaze sang, I'm sure it'd be pretty decent.

The Ripper! WOW! I never really heard his stuff with Priest til just recently-I was in the service then and you really miss out on new things from back home. When we would come off deployment then and look at stuff we missed out on from back home and found this kind of stuff we were like "what the fuck is this" and promptly blew it off as bullshit. For those of you who don't or can't sing, the really high gritty stuff he does is actually far easier than the mid ranges. I know because I have a similar voice to Halford and the screams are the easiest to do. Now let's be real here...NO ONE is better than Bruce, Rob or Dio. PERIOD! Ripper is his own man and possesses his own unique tone. My hats off to Ripper for all his accomplishments including this impressive cover.
