interesting comments. to me it's tropical, it's lush and laid. like not rich for money but rich with passion. coastal island scenery it's like romantic. wealth without worry, romance that could become true love, but no worries... atleast we know the sex is great. LOL. & Pharrell is like doing that no worries; "aaah!" (right on the reverberated hand clap). like it's so refreshing; "aaah!" i think we all DREAM when we hear this song.5 STARS... live arrangement is even better than the cd version.

@koums94 Honestly I think its because the neptunes just had better chemistry with JT than timbaland did. Pharrell and Chad made beautiful music with Justin and weren't worried about making huge hits for clubs.

I'm not entirely sure if Let's Take a Ride can be classified as a ballad. Atleast not a true ballad as the beat is uptempo, there's choreography to it, and there's alot of bass thump in it. I'd classify it as a mid-tempo dance/R&B song, not a 100% ballad
