They didn't replace Slipknot exactly. The order of the bands was shifted around, and Bring Me the Horizon were brought in as the first act. And they were just awful, I don't think their music was at all suited to the main stage, far too specific. The Reading organisers should have been able to pick a better option to start off the main stage than this band.

I'd never heard of this band before Reading. It was safe to say they were appalling. Begging the crowd to make a pit was cringing. Regardless of poor sound quality, they were awful and should not have played main stage. I'm glad they got bottled, it was the only thing that made this performance bearable.
