thanks 4 posting this.. i've suffered from this disease like since i was 2nd year high school.. it's been 2 years now. i've had my latest attack just this past 2 weeks and i always hated that feeling of shortness in breathing. well, thanks anyway :))
Oh wow!! This is awesome... I was diagnosed 2 years ago and have been hospitalized 3 times with levels droping below 2.0 but no one ever took the time to explain in detail what it is I am dealing with. You just did!!
Good research but not a strong presentation, Switching between hypo and hyper can get confusing best to tackle one then the other for a better presentation
i thought the material was very helpful and detailed... the only disadvantage would be a lay person who is a patient would have a hard time understanding this, but this would be really helpful for a nurse who would want to review about hypo and hyperkaliema before she does any teaching for her patient. i know it was very helpful for me
I thought the video was thorough. Signs and symptoms and respitory and cardiac monitoring can be grouped together to avoid any confusion and repetition. Also i noticed a typo on" what is hyperkalemia slide at the end". instead of hyperkalemia, is hypokalemia.
One speaker presented signs and symptoms of hypokalemia and hyperkalmeia followed by additional signs and symptoms of both. I think it would have been better to post all the signs and symptoms of one and then the other. Over all, I think this was an excellant teaching video.
Excellant video. Very thorough. Could have used voice modulation. Used the phrase, "Now let's". Who was the us? The nurse was doing the teaching. The patient was not teaching.

Thanks for all the comments. This was my first amateur video with a group of nursing students my sophomore year in college for nursing.

I I am ill this illness from 13 years. I live on Ukraine. For us doctors are idiots. Instead of Hyperkalemia put the neurosis of Sharko (Шарко).

@bijogt Thank you. This was definately meant for nurses or student nurses so they could prepare for patient teaching.
