I am a Sinhalese.What happened in '83 was appaling & a disgrace. However, it was not all sinhalese against tamils but a few organised goups who perpetrated these crimes. The govt at the time of JR should have taken strong action. There were many in the Sinahala community who helped the Tamils to safety at the time too.
