@Nezzytheawesome Autodesk Maya for the vast majority of the animation. After Effects for assembly and some extra stuff like the sort of glow you see in the flashbacks and the "portal" effect. Thanks for your interest :)

The fine print, for those that are interested: Most of this was completed with Autodesk Maya using vector render. Some small bits were created in Adobe Illustrator. Composited, edited and enhanced with Adobe After Effects. The video was conceived/storyboarded on an iPad using Penultimate. I believe the contest deadline was one month after the announcement.
