I like the video player on "reggaelinx website"better, it allows you to zoom in and play in slow motion. Plus they allow you to play your own playlist. You guys should check it out.
can you please please let me know what software (assuming you use a computer) to record what you do on youtube? (By the way, great playing). I have been trying with no luck for months now. I know my way around a PC, so, I dont need detailed instructions. Just, what software is being used. Thanks so much.
@garyfalzone: Thank you so much for your kind comment! I use either Adobe Audition or Sony Sound Forge to record the audio track for my videos. I have my bass amp plugged to my sound card while playing and I replace the ambient audio track from my camera with the direct-from-amp audio track. For video editing I use Sony Vegas Pro.
Let me know if you need further info. Thank you again! :=)
yeahhh maaaan! congrats dude! i´m a bassplayer too and i played that song for several years! only ear! its my lema!! so, anyway ...i was right, that´s the way to play that marvelous song...best regards from mexico. by the way..i like more t-40 sound.
Thank you for your comments! In this video, the T-40 has all knobs fully open, with the exception of the tone knob for the bridge pickup (at 7). The Ric also has everything at maximum minus the neck pickup volume, which is slightly rolled off.

seeing that the peavey is MUCH more affordable, i'd say that its the best untill you can afford a Rickenbacker.
Thumb up if you agree.

For me it's the T-40.
Nice playing by the way :-)

Love the T-40. It can do a Ric sound but the Ric can't do a T-40 one.

i'm playing rocksteady and reggae with my t-40! Glad I'm not the only one hehe

Bob Marley is mah hero ^^
personally, i'm very biased towards Rics, but an average listener probably wouldn't distinguish between the two.

Lovely tone on both basses,
I personally prefer the T-40 i think, seems a little more defined to me.
Great work.

your peavey has a bassier, and slightly muddier sound, while the ric is mode defined and mid punchy (but the t40 is punchy too)
doesn't really matter to anyone other than bass players though heh

your peavey sounds fantastic
