  • I remember going through this shit with fake GBA games...And Playstation Memory Cards...I hate ebay.

  • well they made it even easier in USA what's real and what isn't with the new "Red" cases for mario games.

  • Well if the fake one works fine then I honestly don't see a problem.

  • i got real and fake and they work fine

  • I bought used game from gamestop. It was probably from other country because language was different and case is black... Fuck.

  • I'm done with Hong Kong and their fake shit, I don't really care to say that all Hong Kong sellers are is a bunch of smelly shit and that whole race of people can be the INCARNATE OF FUCKING SATAN. :|

  • @DriveOverride or maybe it's just the whole region thing, like how just about every country has different power outlets, dvds straight from japan have a high chance of not working in american dvd players, etc. maybe people from hong kong aren't ripping you off, you're just buying the wrong games.

  • U guys say that u have clear cases probly the poor ppl buy fake ones on eBay for like $5 and sell it for the normal price

  • if anyone buys off hongkong sellers they deserve to be scammed.

  • they ripyou off

  • does the fake new super mario brother work or not

  • Some countries have clear cases and a different style of it, Just be sure to buy the games that are expensive at retailers, or serious internet stores. Auction sites well you can find games cheap there only for a buck or two but don't expect not getting a phony, Be careful and read what you are buying and you should be okey, I've yet to gotten a fake game and I'm a collector, my whole basement is filled with games.

  • the only 2 differences i noticed case color (Der) and look close at the top of the bubble around the word new

  • why buying games ? xD

  • Hey, who cares if it is fake? At least you still get the game!! Or does the game even work?

  • Clear cases in my country.

  • what happens if you play the fake one....I'm very curious

  • I have never seen a black Nintedo DS case. There's only clear cases in our country.

  • so i now have a fake nintendo ds game bought from a store...

  • i dont get the last 2 pictures on how both were fake. otherwise i got everything else...

  • This happened to me with Super mario bros luckily we got our money back

  • @TattooSlinger80 ...So your answer is "Yes, Europe does use US region codes"? Or are you saying you're just a huge ass that starts insulting people before they read what they have to say?

(Spoilers: I already know the answer; European games have "EUR" in the code, while this has a USA code and an altered Nintendo logo despite the box color, which points to a fake cartridge. Some of us do our research before we start vomiting up the first thing that comes to mind when someone disagrees with us.)

  • @TattooSlinger80 Do they typically have "USA" (not a place in Europe or Asia, if you're not up to date on your geography) in their region codes and a doctored Nintendo logo too?

No? Then maybe you should look more closely before you pass it off as legitimate.

  • But can't they just go and make a black case too?

  • @pixelated111 It's not the easiest in the world to do with this video, but look closely at the Nintendo logo and the seal; they're different between the two cartridges. From the looks of it, the "i" is changed to a lowercase "L", but it's nonetheless different.

Some bootleggers change what the logo says ("Nintondo" appears to be popular, too) or don't even include it in the first place, among other things. It's the little differences that will get you, and well, that's why they do it.

  • basta che funziona!

  • why is it always from hong kong ppl?

  • Does the fake one work? Thats all I wanna know.

  • IRELAND HAD FAKE GAMES THIS WHOLE TIME... OH THE HUMANITY D:

  • I once bought a copy of Yoshi's Island for GBA on Amazon and it was a bootleg that didn't even work. I returned it and got another copy, but the other copy was from a different seller, but the SAME ADDRESS and the game pak was decorated extensively to make it look more legit.

  • ok have you went to school cause we all know hong kong is one of the most crocked place in the world they hate america DUH

  • ok fake but did it work then

  • Whoa! I just bought this same cartridge from a Craigslist seller and it IS a bootleg!

Damn it, how do I fix this?

  • @bellakazza find him and rip his balls off and shove game in his ass

  • Whats the problem? It works doesn't it.

  • I just ordered animal crossing wild world for 15 bucks on eBay it's soo fake. But it works on my 3rd just fine

  • i can tell look at the egdes of the box you well see a different color ones black other white

  • me 2 it only works on ds lite not on the dsi

  • i have the one u said is fake and mine works fine

  • You get the games in the clear case in Ireland and the uk

  • I once got a fake Pokemon Soulsilver Cartridge... with the "manual" being the start of a walkthrough.

But, hey, it worked, and I was fine with it until I got the real deal!

  • in the UK DS game boxes are clear .

    on another note

makes me laugh that people buy r4's to play fakes and they complain about having a r4 that's a fake.

  • RACIST ... but its soetimes true

  • They are just different because they are from different countrys maybe.

  • i bought a r4 from hong kong (i think) and it was 6.99 plus insurance tax and free shipping so it isn't a fake but a part of it shows so

  • Actually I prefer buying from China alot better than the US. R4 FTW. R4 cost me like 10 bucks and plays all and any ds game I want =P

  • reminds me of of how much fun i had with this game 4 years ago

  • yeah one time i went to the flea markrt and there was a version of pokemon peral and its said that it was for the 3dsi xl and i said they havent even invented that yet the have only invented the 3ds

  • There are legit games with clear cases, too, as SuperLuigi213 pointed out.

I'd just say don't buy DS games from Hong Kong sellers.

  • Everythung from hong kong is a fake

  • @MrBill0327 No its not, they're are some unreliable sellers who would trick people like this though and besides the buyer said that the game worked on his DS which is kind of decent if he got a discount which Hong Kong sellers will usually do to sell their products.

  • i like to buy the fake games from hong kong and then claim i never received them and get a refund

  • @sunny123able1 And does that work?

  • @onilink422 ofcourse

  • why do u buy this?lol

  • do u know wat swed means?

  • Also, the white on the game cartridge on the fakeone cuts off the word new; the real one does not

  • actually,it COULD be real, just probably for a foreign version of the nintendo DS :/

  • dsi has reigion lock, ds does not... The game is probably not fake, as in other countries that DO EXIST outside of the USA, ds games come in clear cases.

  • u mixed up the boxes :x lol

  • why buy 2 of the same game?

  • Hong Kong sellers embarrassed us Asians.

  • I got a Pokemon Platinum from Hong Kong..it freezes on occasion (which pisses me off) and takes like 5 minutes to save but hey...it's basically the same thing and for only $2.30..I'd say it was a deal lol.

  • @RawrzStephiee not really then you can't trade with the real Pokemon games. Pulse all the hard work you put on the fake game are worth nothing because you can't play online or trade.

  • DSi has region lock.. that's probably why it won't work on DSi.. genius.

  • I ordered Yoshi's island DS on ebay and it came from hong kong and it had a clear case like that. but i haven't experienced any problems with it yet.

  • Notice the UK case has a ESRB rating and not a PEGI rating. Even if UK games have clear cases, that one is fake.

  • @NarutoDude96 That is also a good catch. The point of this video is for buyers to pay attention and look out for these sorts of things, which a lot of the viewers appear to have missed by a mile.

"IT'S IN US PACKAGING BUT IT HAS A CLEAR BOX. IT'S CLEARLY A UK GAME, IDIOT."

  • @NarutoDude96 UR RIGHT.

  • i must have a fake one i got it from play.com and it said works on ds but dsi and didnt think anything of it i wish i had watched this video before i bought it :(

  • i must have a fake one i got it from play.com and it said works on ds but dsi and didnt think anything of it i was i had watched this video before i bought it :(

  • Not only do the games not work in the DSi, but they also don't work properly in the DS, I bought Super Mario 64 DS from Hong Kong, and everytime I touched a star, the game froze

  • yeah dont buy anything from Hong Kong i bought 2 PS3 bluetooth head sets but they didnt sync with my PS3 only reason i wasnt to pissed off bout it was cuz they only cost me $2 each

  • @59Pillsbury well the only thing i buy from hong kong is cosplay wigs that come in really good shape

  • @XxlostmycupcakexX i ment more like electronic items then anything else

  • @59Pillsbury well i once bought a celll phone from hong konf i was really pissed cus it broke when i used it

  • Ireland have a clear case

  • UK games have clear cases.

  • @SuperLuigi213 yeah the whole of europe has those cases

dont think that this 1 is fake, just an european version

  • @SuperLuigi213

SO my NSMB in Europe is a US?

  • @SuperLuigi213 Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • @SuperLuigi213

Yes and Europe have clear cases plus if you can see at the back of the ds cart above the golden lines you can see random numbers and letters which all of the real games have, but the fake have nintendo above :PPP

  • The white or see through cases are actually the same ones we have in the UK dunno about the rest of Europe though?

I have bought fakes games I think from Hong Kong it came in the see through/white case but the instructions, and the cover were blatant fakes, they smelt nice though, they smelt like cakes, anyways the DS cartage its self works perfectly it even works with Action Replay.

  • I got the "fake" one works perfectly. Bought my dsi xl from germany and game from UK and I live in Finland. Everything works just fine.

  • I got Mario Kart DS from Movie Trading Company and it had a clear case just like that and its not fake you guys are wierd.

  • Well my New Super Mario Bros ds has a clear case and it came from England and it works.

Also all my games exept 1 have clear cases and they work.

  • At 0:21 I noticed the fake one had the Nintendo logo printed larger and more bold.

  • This is nothing new, it's simple you pay for what you get. If you shop from China / hong kong your gonna get ripped off. No sympathy from me it's called buyer beware

  • There is a lot more that the likes of Ebay/Google can be doing to support the whistleblowing process and the fight against sellers of counterfeit goods.

Public awareness: the reporting hotline for the country could be hosted directly and obvious in the main web search page, the main shopping search page, and again in the search results pages. The same for the warning messages “BEWARE FAKES” “REPORT FAKES” and the "Watch this clip before you buy!" video clip embedded alongside.

  • the only difference is the rim is white and some colors are faded

  • NEVER buy from hong kong ebayers...i bought new super mario bros. from a hong kong dude and it was a danny phantom game that didnt even open that had same box art and cartige art and shit.i would had goten my money back but i had to send it back with insured mail which would cost me 16 dollars meaning that i would lose a dollar in the process (i bought the game for $15)

  • Note: original European games come in clear boxes, but fake games usually use the US boxart and rating. So if you see something with a PEGI logo in a clear case, it's probably legit.

  • Solution?

    Get an original R4.

no more worries for fake ds games.

    lulz

  • i found a diff on he cartridge it says tm by the nintendo ds on he real on and the fake has the circle with the r

  • how does it play?

  • aint that just the European box?

Im from the UK and every ds game i own comes in that box, other then a ninendogs game which i had imported i think

  • Hong Kong use the Europe cases so why show the cases??? And games from Hong Kong if their cheaper and work who gives a fuck

  • i say who gives a fuck if its fake as long as it works and is cheap! thumbs up ;D

  • the case doesnt mean its fake cos in UK and Ireland all the cases are clearish/white but the E on the bottom left should have a P ( pegi) or sumtin if the case is clearish/white..!

  • The fake cartridge has part of NEW covered. Real one doesn't

  • I know someone with a DSWii, and I think it WORKS. HOW THE ***** CAN THIS HAPPEN? Can I have some help here?o

  • How do you know they are fake.....

Every DS game i have brought in the UK from major retail chains are just like the see through one....

Makes me think the black case one is more fake!

  • @BanjoKiD2K very true im from uk too and if i saw a black boxed 1 id say its fake

  • NEVER BUY ELECTRONICS FROM HONG KONG! But they do make really good clothing knock offs! $20 "jerseys" forever!

  • buy a r4 and download the games

  • @bizzz461 do that already lol.its alo a great way to play all those japanese only games too.saving you $100s on shipping costs lol.

  • also the game cartrage has a different font on the "NEW"

  • i also bought a fake Mario 64 DS, it has the euro region code and everything so its a really good fake, only thing is the prints on it is so obviously copied, a very amateur mistake. would send it back but it was real cheap and plays fine.

  • I have a fake DS game, plays just fine and was cheaper. Which is the real rip-off,the real one or the fake one?

  • but u know i am from austria and the nintendo ds games all look like ur faked one xD. It is not a fake game only the color is different xD

  • fake games wont play right?

  • Nono, see he is right. The clear one is fake, because

One, if u look on the cover, both say rated E, but Europe uses Pegi rating. It looks different.

Second, both cartridges have an ID ending with USA, so it isn't european, or it'll end with EUR.

There it is fake u idiots.

  • All dsi's have regional lockout

  • No. What you don't realise is that you have a european cart here. All dsi

  • ok, he's wrong, but don't be to hard for him, he has only 7 vids + he tought it was fake, so he put the effort in making a video

    Srry for my english

  • My wife is still waiting on her two wii virtual console controllers that she never got from a Hong Kong seller on ebay

  • NO!!! the REAL is FAKE!!!

i have one FAKE game, but is working!!

i was buying in Peru, the black one is FAKE!!!

the clean is REAL if you see clearly on the paper on the cover

  • does it work?

  • I GOT A CONCLUSION ITS A USA ONE ON A EUROPE BOX!

  • UUUUUGGGGG!!! i just got animal crossing for ds and it is fake but it works but it feals cheep, has horrible translated english, and it has smudges on the paper

  • i ordered 2 ds's and got only 1 with the price of 2! great deal >:(

  • Comment removed

  • the fake edition is eruopean i live there and i have the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 you mother fucker

  • OMFG!! my little sis plays fake version!!!

  • my friend has that game, from Hong Kong, and its not fake

and i think that usa game is fake

  • they sell this stuff on 7daysget.com i bought soulsilver from there....its fake, but it works like a charm :)

  • WOW!!! Hong Kong is full of ideas just to scam the people who wants to buy them :|

  • It doesnt mean its fake i just wont read on USA ds

  • i swear most things from hong kong are fake :/

  • lol luv it: fake-real-fake-real-fake-real-BEWARE-lol

  • OH NOES MY ACWW IS FAKE NOES GRRRR... No wonder when i bought it used from gamestop i had no case? hmm grrrr

  • What you all have to understand is that: games released in certain countries will only play on that country's console. So if you buy a Japanese or European game and you live in the USA, it's not going to work.

  • but they both work dont they?

  • now with the fake pikachu DS, (and other fakes, too,) you can get your very own, super knockoff brothers! :D only $99.99.99.99.99 at your local junk yard :)

  • LOL american box art in a European case did anyone notice that?

  • To all, this vid is no joke. Well the info isn't anyway. I had bought Heart Gold on ebay from a h.k. seller. this was around 2-3 mths back. great game works flawlesy from begining to end. all functions work (trading, wifi, etc.) The only way i found it was fake was when i start the game from the ds menu instead of autoload, the title is star wars lethal alliance. I also have removed all codes from my ar dsi. when i load the game in that to place my own codes i get the game id for star wars l.a.

  • @Strangallo I also got a fake DSi cartridge from a Honk Kong seller (Yoshi's Island DS) and it works perfectly -- no errors. The Chinese keep coming up with ways to get around the updates.

  • did u get tricked and bought the fake game but later bought the real game and made a video about ur silly mistake?

  • there are the same -BUT- its diffrent colours!

  • then i finally bought a real us version of pokemon heartgold at walmart. never buying shit from hong kong sellers on ebay ever again fuk those fake motherfukers

  • yea i also bought heartgold brand new sealed for 15 buks from hong kong when it arrived it was new sealed played da game exactly like the us version until the saving was rediculously long like 11 mins and played da game again kept frrezing on me then i looked on the book and guess wat i saw in the booklet??? A PICTURE DAT SAYS POKEMON PEARL i was like wtf this isnt pearl then i figured i got robbed a fake clone game i had. fuk hong kong sellers.

  • yea fuk those hong kong chuchumua sellers selling fake games. i fuken bought pokemon firered it said it was new but when it arrived at my house was not even new was open and i played it the game file got deleted 7 days later it also had a fake plain sticker while the us version has foil sticker in the game fuken rip off yea swed is right never by things from hong kong

  • you are so stupid! they are just from diffrent places!

  • No difference at all.

  • the cases are more obvious but the game cards look alot more alike

  • huh? I have one with a clear box (I'm from Europe) and it works on both my ds and dsi

  • Beware guys, a lot of games are being sold online, check the pictures or where it comes from!

  • first of all i love that song! and second of all, i got a fake ds game from a US seller d he isn't chinese. if it says an error has occured when you put it in it's fake

  • Fake games work on 2004 Version DS

  • bottom line is this if it says that it ships from hong kong ........

DO NOT BUY THAT SHIT I BOUGHT 1 TIME ON EBAY from a guy that said it ships from U.S. but it actually shipped from hong kong .....lucky me i got a full refund......

ebay buyers protection ......fuck those fake mothafuckas

  • @MRX31605 I say dont buy anything over 25 bucks from hong kong lol

  • I bought a fake Mario Kart DS and another game. I knew it was fake from the poor packaging, I was going to report the guy but i forgot.

  • makes me wonder since DS cards are already super cheaply made, aside from cloning some rom, how much cheaper can they make it. I have a few fake DS games and they play fine. On that note counterfeit counterfeit games play fine as well (TF flash loader like the R4) Nintendo needs to trash all of they're current systems and do a ground up redesign. im not guying a DSI to have a shitty camera and im not buying a 3ds to have a shitty 3d display. The sales are slipping cuz the systems are trash.

  • According to this, all my DS games are fake.

  • dude thats a pal game

  • Non of the games in the video looks fake to me and clean box ones are not fake games in Europa clean box is the what 99% NDS games are in atleast were i am from and black box ones are rare to see but games from other parts of the world like my pokemon platinum dont always work well on my ds so maybe it goes the other way around for US ds consols and games fron Europe

  • omg! i had a fake pokemon pearl version in a clear case and it stopped working half way through the game!!! (gave it to gamestop cause i thought it was just broke)

  • if a game plays and you get it for cheaper from japan dont complain about it and just play the game

  • Actually, here in europe, it's the other way around! The ones with the black cases are fake, and the clear cases are real! (:

  • is the honk kong version?

  • how did you do that?

  • okey okey, wait, i have both clear and black PAL games [no duplications], they all work, the clear ones are even in my language, dutch

and the black cases are kind a rare here, so.....eh iam a bit confused

  • Shit...I bought Soulsilver on ebay from a bro at hong kong for $11. -.- i guess i wont be surprised if i find a clear case now.....FUCK I HOPE IT WORKS WITH MY POKEWALKER OMFG

  • wait hang thouch in the uk the clear box that is there we use taht but with u pal logos

  • Those fake Things

Those People Are Making Them Just To Get Cash

    I HATE HONG KONG

  • Better safe than sorry, do not purchase anything from Chinese sellers on eBay with poor English translators. I purchased a GBA game after a while of consideration to see what would happen (had eBay buyer protection). The seller is eventually banned after the first buyers (after a few weeks) report non-legitimate games. However, it is your responsibility to take action within the allocated time limit to get your money back if it had protection. This takes a fair amount of time and is annoying.

  • (continued) The catch is if you do not take action, these sellers will get to pocket your money even though they got banned. The cheap prices are tempting I understand, but buy from a legitimate seller. Your product (and shipping time!) will be of much better satisfaction. Who wants to wait 10 to 15 business days?

  • BE??

  • hmmmm, so u actually bought a fake?

  • I knew this too> I am also a seller online from HK ( sells genuine of course )

You know what? I have my pokemon heartgold ds game on Bonzanzle for USD$47, no buyers. I searched ebay, those sellers selling fakes ones for $16.99 !!

But they don't have the original package & poke-walker at all. And their fakes do NOT support DSi !!

    Real ones supports !

These sellers made me no sales !

All these scams are on ebay now, so I stay on Bonanzle to avoid them... errrrrrrrrrr

  • @georgilegend1 "OMG" you don't now anything! I know about a Europe clear case and this is not Europe because it has a USA region code written on it.You're the one who's stupid.Get your facts right noob.
