  • Video quality is fine but audio is absolute shit.

  • i get so wet just watching this... mmmmmmmmmm!

  • don't wanna be bored anymore? click on 3:35

  • Funny, I didn't know it was possible to "right-click" a Mac....

  • @Geeker030508 It is. You actually just click on the right side of the mouse...

  • Comment removed

  • For the first 3:00 minutes you did nothing but talk. The viewers don't want to hear you talk, they want to actually see you play on it.

  • right clicking?

  • robot voice

  • this guy has no idea wut hes talking about. he was told wut to say and nothing is coming from his knowledge of the machine

  • Thinking about buying a new i-mac/ i-pad? THINK AGAIN! Watch this video -before- you decide: "Apple made a flop"

  • @AllFractUp Actually if you have an Apple store near you and you are under warranty you just take it there and they can give you a new one right on the spot....they even transfer your files for you. And now HP is trying to get in on the action, just with Pakistani people on the Customer Service Hotlines. A friend of mine had the 24 inch poly white iMac and it quit on him and he got a new one free of charge within an hour he was leaving with all his files intact.

  • @chandru1103

Yes, but you still have to bring the whole machine in. Why would someone have an entire machine replaced when a component tanks? On a PC everything is modular. If the video goes out (unless it is part of the mainboard) you just swap out the graphics card. Or, if it is the video that is built-onto the mainboard try switching that off so a graphics card can be substituted.

My point about all-in-ones wasn't just about Apples. PC makers have tried all-in-ones long before Apple.

  • @chandru1103

Here lies the rub. When you are out of warranty what then? When you hard drive took a nose dive what then? I don't have to worry about my gear's warranty. I just take it to one of four Ginstar locations and their techs fix my tech right as rain for next to nothing. Of course their turn around time depends on how much work they have to do. But I always get prompt counter service when I walk into their stores. That's the cool part about buying Frankenstein's PC :)

  • @AllFractUp You can still upgrade. People Upgrade their iMac Harddrives themselves all the time. You just have to buy from the exact manufacturer (samsung, usually) otherwise the fan control fails and you get into nasty overheating problems. It isn’t impossible, it’s just takes a little more finesse and some suction cups to pull the screen off. But different strokes!

  • wow 300 bug fixes?! Impressive. Up to 16 spaces so your confusion level can now really excel with too many windows open at once. Good to know. Why was the video so clunky for the DVD demo? Quick view or whatever it is called can't handle scaling for video very well. So if Apple computers can't get viruses then why do companies make anti-virus software for Apple PCs?

  • @AllFractUp There are viruses for Macs but they are hard to get unless you actually install it and give it your password, and most Mac security software stops Windows viruses spreading through your Mac to other PCs, not affecting the Mac, but affecting the PCs the Mac is infecting.

  • So what happens when a person doesn't want to always login to run their Apple PC? Instead they just run the computer without using a password? That'd mean the viruses can access whatever they can access and do the same harm the user can cause.

  • @AllFractUp You don't need to enter a password to login to a Mac, however you do need to have a password, and you still have to enter it before ANYTHING can touch your system files.

  • @TheGingerBreed

So if you don't need a password to login to the operating system then why are you forced to use a password to use the operating system? Isn't the operating system the key program that governs the actions of the other components and programs?

  • @AllFractUp

How often are Apple users forced to enter their mandatory password?

  • @AllFractUp

It seems to me that a keystroke grabber could monitor for when the password is entered and then, used in conjunction with a virus, trigger all kinds of nasty takeovers.

  • @AllFractUp The problem is the hacker would have to install the key grabber, which would require a password. They will find a way eventually, but for now in OS X there has yet to be a wild widespread remotely-controlled virus attack.

  • @AllFractUp You only have to enter your password when you make a change to a system file, or a setting that could have unwanted effects on the system or damage it. or obviously to change the password.

  • @TheGingerBreed

Sounds like a password on the Apple GUI really doesn't serve a purpose. If ya login to make a change and then realize you screwed up royally then tough huh? Pointless is how it sounds.

  • @TheGingerBreed

This is funny "...but affecting the PCs the Mac is infecting. ..."

I agree with you that the MAC is infecting the PC :0)

  • @AllFractUp to make easy money

  • It's pronounced OS TEN!!!

  • Linux ubuntu with compiz fusion on a PC looks better, pus Linux is free...

The docket you can get for a PC Windows with the stack docket... it's called RocketDock + the addon Stacks Docklet

Linux on a PC has better spaces.. You can get coverflow for Linux and Windows...

Virtual Desktop Manager for free for PC are every where on the web. Yod'm 3D ... Shock4Way3D .... and on and on

I need more form a computer than just shinny stuff.

  • Is there an application to manage your spaces... hahahaha aaaa hahaha

  • Look at an iMac lol.... try putting a descent graphics card or extra hard drives in that one ha!ha!Ha!

Oh well, I guess it comes with a lot of cable hehe. Just imagine those people who need to bring the whole computer back just because of a deal pixel or other screen issue ha!ha!ha! Oh yeah, of course! Macs NEVER fail, all forgot about that, I'm sorry fanboys hehe

  • that's the second mac video i've looked at where you've been doing this. is this what you do ? watch videos about a computer you don't want then put it down ?

  • don't make fun of it just bc you can't afford one.

  • you only need the ac cable if u use bluetooth mouse and wlan

  • i do have a new imac... got a quadcore i5 2.66ghz, 4gb of ram ddr3, ati radeon 4850hd, 1tb of hard drive, 2650x1440 27 inch screen... and imacs are prolly the best lcd screens out there and i never heard of them having dead pixels. and macs DO crash, just not as often as windows PCs, cause it's built on a UNIX kernel and that the people that makes the OS are the same that make the hardware.

stop looking like you know you're stuff... fucking hater.

  • Holy big ass screen!

  • upto 27" and 16 gigs ram now

  • 16! I wonder where humanity will top out. lol

  • UPDATE !

  • is youtube censoring comments?

    that sucks

  • What d'you mean by that?? If it says 'Comment Removed By Author' it is to say that the comment's author has removed their comment (i.e. because they might have had second thoughts about it... I have never seen YouTube censoring comments before; the video's creator has the ability to approve comments, should they care for that, but apart from that, YouTube doesn't censor... Oh yeah, they have some sort of profanity filter users can turn on, should they so wish... That's the only censorship here.

  • yea thats what i was talking about that was before i knew that you could turn it off

  • Comment removed

  • but you cant run final cut or logic on it! =)

  • @Familytheater: wtf do you mean man, I'm currently running Logic on the i<ac, fool!!! Go run in circles! I don't know about FCP or FCE, 'cause I don't have either of them, but as I do have logic, I can definitely confirm that you CAN run it on the iMac... I do not own any other Mac, so I'd have to, would I want to use the software...

  • @slashtiger1: i was responding to guy who said that his pc was better. i can also confirm that you can run any apple software on any mac.

  • Oh, I see... Well, I guess I must've misinterpreted your comment because the author to whom you were in fact responding, had removed their comment before I read yours. As such, I thought you were referring to the iMac instead of the PC of said author... Excuse me for any inconvenience I may have caused... So SORRY...

  • your mic sucks. sorry;)

  • I'm guessing its said "OS 10" because the OS prior to OS X was OS 9, X being the Roman Numeral for 10 so yeah. :L

  • You can say X it doesnt matter.

  • NO YOU CANT, THATS AGAINST Mr. Jobs. HE SAID TO CALL IT Mac OS X (10) NOT X (X).

  • update at about 1:19: new 24" imacs have up to 3.06 GHZ, 8 gb RAM, 1 tb hard drive. incredible!

  • 

  • gorgeous colors

  • I'm using windows xp right now.Can anyone tell me if I can remove windows and then install OS X ? Do I need to buy anything special or maybe I need to buy a new computer from apple?

  • Well. You havent said if you are running on a PC, MAC or tumbledrier. Give Apple a call. They should know what you need.

  • well... there is a way to get mac osx on your pc. It's called Kalyway, but it's illegal! So the best way to get started with mac osx is the mac mini.

  • you have to buy a new Mac... but thats only if you want to use OS X LEGALLY... haha but most PC's do teribly with OS X on them of couse there are some "Hackintosh" netbooks but if u want mac OS X you really need to get a Mac Macs rule i switched from a PC running XP to a Mac with OS X Leopard hope i was helpful :-)

  • Comment removed

  • leopard is awesome, but this guy....

    pff...

  • lmao the microphone sounds weird

  • Your mic makes you sound like a robot. lol

  • maybe..... when u apply too much WMA compression that can also make things sound a bit "robot-ish".....

  • Say "Oh Ess Ex" again, I dare you.

  • Oh Ess X? Makes sense, as its a bleeding X there.

  • I'm not a to big on Apples, what's the harm of Saying OS X? like i'm just cutious i usually say OS 10, but why? does it matter??? It's what it's called

  • That pictures browsing is really uncomfortable. Why not using next/prev in pics browser like in windows? Because you cant. You have to select all files and then open them. It's totally sad.

  • He didn't open any of them. He's looking at them in a folder, so really, he took one less step than you do in Windows.

  • But these are only little thumbnails... windows have full sized preview instead of useless 100 different mac preview methods.

  • Even if you wanted a full screen option, all you do is press spacebar and it's right there. I don't see where the inconvenience is?

  • whats all those icons that continually flash on the desktop?

  • Those are just random errors with the screen recorder. It always does this when you record in full screen on a Mac, unless you have a great screen recorder and graphics card.

  • Kubuntu Jaunty KDE4.2 Alpha4 looks much better and has similar or even better features (and it is only alpha)...Linux for work and Win7 for games :p . Don't get me wrong, OS 10 is great, but if you have to choose on, well...And PC hardware is much cheaper than Mac at the same level of performance.

  • It is famous for being an All in one. With the Wireless keyboard and mouse it is literally 1 plug does all.

  • One thing I've never understood.

Is the iMac only a screen or is the tower somewhere else?

I love my Mac. iWork and iLife '09 rocks!

  • Its all built into the screen. Makes it a bitch to change the graphics card.

  • I bet, but it looks so good!!

  • All is in the screen. The memory you can access and upgrade yourself. All other internal upgrades are specialist. Best get on a business lease with all the tax benefits but best is you get the upgraded model unavailable to the general public and the option after three years to change for latest or own and take on new deal

  • da mac its da best only one think u need a one i mac cuz its all da pc on ur monitor togheter ! u dont need cube like windows :S just ur monitor inside r da machine inda monitor ...and yeap u cant miss da app of leopard are amazing dude! shout outs

  • y does this iMac look really weird, it doesn't look right

  • The picture is clear WITH WHATEVER YOU DO...in private

  • lol mac ad says that mac dont have viruses lol...

  • I can take you seriously when you keep saying OS "ecks".

  • Comment removed

  • OLD VIDEO,...SO out-of-date

  • just use windows. its clearly more powerful

  • then go support windows. More and more people are switching to mac

  • so ur gay i guess

  • Another jackass that knows Mac is better and is getting defensive by offending me huh? Go crash and get viruses.

    Virus Intrusion Spyware Trojans Adware

    Hey Windows Vista!!!

  • i use xp smartass

  • That's fine then. But why do you have to call me gay for liking mac? I guess your too damn insecure to admit you like mac. I can call you names too for liking windows. But, I guess I'm higher than you

  • ok, well im gonna go play some crysis, or maybe call of duty 4. or modern warfare. ohh! i wanna go play some flight sim x! nahh ill play dead space. but i just got left 4 dead so ill just go play that. ok have fun editing videos and shit. now go ahead and call your self a better person and all that shit. but make sure that you get the last word in cause i know u need that!

  • News flash. Mac runs those games.

  • Yep, go play some games. That seems to be about all you are good for. Jedi is better than you because he can express himself without using profanity and he knows common English spellings.

I doubt that you like Macs or even know anything about them or you wouldn't make such ignorant remarks.

  • i run all them games fine on my Xeon Mac pro

  • I love macs, but i have vista, i like them both, i would rather have a mac though. I don't really care!

  • vista sucks, i have one for school work... it sucks

  • MAC for work, windows for games :)

  • MAC for Games too :D

  • True.

Mac for everything but games and exe files,

Windows for nothing but games and exe files.

  • true...but u can even play games on mac in future....it only needs initiatives from some game companies..

  • no, i want a free penthouse

  • I was trying a mac OSX 10.5.6 with adobe CS4 to edit a movie, just to see how much better the mac is at doing what it does best...

what can i say not much difference all, mac does seen more stable, however it still freezes at times. Windows vs Macs. Windows is a allround machine, Work, enterament, top games, customiseable Hardware, better media support, mpeg, wmv, mp4, h264, avi, divx, mkv, acc, need i go on, apples are somewaht limited. However if you have limited use maybe apple is better,

  • Whats the max amount of RAM that can go in? there are 8gb laptop ram modules (Imac uses laptop parts) but i doubt the imac supports all of it. i think it should though, as well as the macbook and macbook pro.

  • I'm not a Mac fanboy (I just happen to enjoy my experiences with the Imac), win4ever123, you are a Windows fanboy for sure - it's in your damn name and I don't condone hypocrisy. =)

  • win4ever123,

I just took a look at your youtube page, and all I can say is you're seriously retarded lol. Every single video on your page is about Windows (in general)... So I'm meant to be taking advice from you? Don't think so - oh and btw, considering I've got both; a Windows rig (with an gtx 280 etc) and an Imac...

Conclusivly, I seldom post comments on these sort of videos: Because usually the persons replying are retards...

  • Furthermore, considering the latest nvidia card (280GTX) can't run a '2- year-old-game' Crysis, any higher than 40 - 50 FPS and at 1680 x 1050 resolutions.

The 8800GS is ample for running any game other than your beloved 'Crysis' and 'Crysis Warhead'

You sir, are a uneducated and ignorant 'Windows Fanboy'.

  • crysis and crysis warhead are so much better than any game. Also macs cost like $3000 dollars to get a 8800gt computer vs an pc which you can get a geforce 280 for like $1500. You sir a mac fanboy.

  • You moron are a windows fanboy.

  • no way bro. you can easily run most games on the cheapest iMac there is. They are way more powerful than PC's.

  • They use the same hardware...they are not more powerful.. just different OS, noob :P

  • noob?

    gee neverheard that one before.

  • Nonsense. The cheapest iMac is the 20", and that comes with a 7300GT. You can run a game, but not play.

  • yea you can.

  • Depends what game, actually. Try playing Crysis and see the iMac fry...not literally.

  • look it up on youtube. people run crysis on a mac easily.

  • After replacing the graphics card, of course.

  • You cant replace the hardware components on a mac. Which is both good and bad.

  • You can replace a graphics card...

  • You're thinking of a Mac Pro, You cant replace the video card in an iMac. It doesn't use standard parts. The only standard parts in it are the Ram and the Hard Drive.

  • yea u can replace the video card in iMac ?.. and everything unfortunately more then Mac Pro's just like a normal pc..

you can decide what kind a hard drive and all that.. you can put 8mb Ram, and 1Tb hard drive which is "1024GB" thats matter fact good, even for them future pc's you know what i mean?

  • You can't like I said, the only standard parts are the Hard Drive and the Memory everything else is custom made.

  • Crysis is bootcamp silly

  • In a way, you are right. And crysis is an awesome game, But macs aren't built to play games. They are for the more professional users out there. Who want to get the job done. PC's are only good for office (which microsoft stupidly enough made that possible for OS X too) and playing games.

Don't get me wrong, they do those 2 things exceptionally well, but are still no match for Mac in my opinion.

  • PS3 vs Xbox

    Mac (PC) vs. PC (Windows)

    Nvidia vs. ATI (AMD)

    Intel vs AMD

These debates can go on and on.

There will always be supporters of both parties.

Some think xbox is better than PS3 (these are xbox owners)

However if let the sales figures talk than windows is by far the most wide spread maybe 50:1 aginst macs.

Any windows users want to try mac, just dual boot with iatkos and see what all the fuss is about, and mac user you are brain washed by apple.

  • LRonHubbardLives,

The 8800GS may be 2 years old, but the CPU is refined version of the core 2 duo (yes I know, i7 is out and the Ram is not DDR3)

Im sorry, but this is BS: "What games can you play on that? Certainly can't use WINE to run DirectX 10 games and the library of ports is quite small..."

Someone clearly hasn't heard of bootcamp, and running an OS - including games - natively...

  • Major Lulz... Listening to apple "geeks" talk about hardware specs is like listening to janitors talk about nuclear reactors...

    So OUT of place.

My favorite part... No viruses... LOL!!!

The whole bit about the 300 features was pretty funny.... WOW my own pictures. TRANSPARENCY!!! RESIZE!!!! FINDER WINDOW!!!

Must be nice that they stole most of these GUI features from the Linux community...

WOOZERS... Go Go gadget "been done but let's imply no one else does (KDE/Gnome/Win)"

  • -it even comes with a processor!lol

  • You are not being very generous. You could at least point out some good things about macs.

Don't say there isn't any because vista surely isn't perfect either.

I prefer mac, because the mac environment is easier for me, (and I have used pc most of my life) so as long as I find OS X better to use, thats all that matters.

The no virus thing is pure bull, and the mac vs pc ads are a load of shit too but...

I find can get things done faster on a mac than I can on a PC. Just my user experience. ;)

  • AAAH...so excited, ordered wunn of these and it is cummin soon :D:D:D

    3.06GHz model...8800GS NVIDIA grpahics...woohoo lol

  • Wow an 8800 GS. That's like 2 year old tech. What games can you play on that? Certainly can't use WINE to run DirectX 10 games and the library of ports is quite small... Then again Apple bought a flavor of Linux so they could focus on making things pretty and not worrying about how things work under the hood...

  • Well...i think Macs are really for creative peeps...like moi...and depends on what games you play, but still, 8800gs is alrite for most people's needs, I play games but if ur totally into them u forget about the graphics really lol...same with HD TV.

  • how ud u conect it to the interenet with a ethernet cable or can it only be dun wirless

  • it has a thingy on the back which u can link it up to an internet box...

  • Mac OS Ex FTL

  • I didn't know Joaquin Phoenix knew so much about mac's.

  • get a new mic...

  • do you use final cut studio?

  • u highlight ur mistakes if u correct them in the video editing

  • Buy a new mic

  • i hear u can upgrade the ram gigs

my mate done it and hes got 6gigs of ram now =]

  • Impossible to get 6Gb of RAM on the iMac. Max is 4G.

  • oh ugh for fuck sake he must be lieing again

i have had enough of it now.

  • lmao...

  • even if it could go up to 6gb, yu couldn't add 6gb bc theres only 2 memory slots, and a 1x3gb memory stick doesnt exist

  • where is part 2? :)

  • I bought a Macbook Pro and I can say that my next desktop will be an iMac or a Mac Pro.

  • Waaaay too much compression on your the sound.

  • does anyone know if they are high def?

  • The iMacs? Yes, all computer that are able to display a resolution of 1280px × 720px, can do 720P HD, and computers that display 1920px × 1080px can do HD 1080P.

  • aw sweet! i hope they start putting blu ray drives in the iMacs as well as PCs

  • "a terabyte is up to 1000 gigabytes of storage space."

no. A terabyte is 1024 gigabytes of storage space.

  • Well, it generally equals more or less 1000GB once you take off the space for the OS and the other free software included.

  • Really?

Can do everything using the mouse on my PowerMac G4 here :)

  • How long ago did you use an iMac?

I got mine today and have yet to need to do anything other than point and click?

  • Good for you.

  • i disagree is more simple on a mac rather on a pc(windows) i AM VERY HAPPY THAT LEFT FROM A PC !!MAC ROCKS ....BUY A MAC AND YOU DONT LOOSE...CHOOSE A FERRARI RATHER THAN A HONDA!

  • This looks like a bootleg version of those videos like this on the apple websites

  • what's wrong with pronouncing os x ''x'' not 10?

    we're not 1000 years back..

  • i no i sound stupid but does it have a power cord

  • yep just one and thats all

  • you dont just sound stupid- you are stupid. jk but it does or the new leopard operating system would be a blank black screen
