While I agree that Opeth's sound is well mixed and produced, they do still get a bit compressed and lose definition. But they're far better than most. I wish Meshuggah is much worse lately for compressed mixes. Listen to the original mix of NOTHING, and as much as the guitars sound better on the remix, the drums have lost their punch. This generation of listeners needs exposure to quality to know what they're mixing. Too many raised on iPods. Listen to Lotus Eater on CD, then DVD mix. Aces high.
