Wow! I started playing a place in Rockford, Illinois, where I was told Stendeck used to be the looping attraction in that town, after Stendeck left for Vegas. I didn't know he won the contest! Wow! And I don't really even like his style! I'm not putting him down, tho. I just don't dig his style. I'm glad he won, tho! People keep telling me to do these contests, but I don't care to.

@MrMatthewMurphy He's ambidextrous, both left and right handed. I write left handed but I play drums and guitar right handed. Some people are different. And I imagine his hats are splashes because he needs to have his left foot free to use the loop pedal. Probably just easier. I personally think they sound pretty sweet!

Andrew Bird is a fine musician, but that doesn't take anything away from Stendek, who integrates vocals, keyboards, bass, guitar, drums, and a variety of other instruments into his loops. Not to mention that he's a great guy, and a lot of FUN to see live.
