Just wondering how you pick up a lobster without it crushing your hand with its claw or something. I missed a big one off the coast of bracklesham bay in England becuase as i went to grab it from behind it shot off. Also where to grab them would be helpfull as i know lobsters can get their claws into places crabs cant. Any help would be much appriciated

I thought I was going to be the only person saying to try doing it APNEA but I guess not lol. Hold breath diving is definitely more of a challenge and more rewarding. I use a snare but only because our lobsters have claws and a glove wouldn't do any good.

I don't know where this vid was made, but using a "tickle stick" is illegal. You've got two ways to get lobster: with your hands, or with traps.

In my opinion, traps are for pussies. using a scuba tank is not cheating. how else are you to get bugs at 75 ft?

75 ft is not much you should try freediving its hard at the beginning but then you get the hang of it , i can spearfish at 50 ft , and i only been freediving for 6 months now

Guys I do freediving only because I still didnt buy the dive gear, thats why I go spearfishing and cathcing lobsters without diving gear, but I think as soon as I get my gear I will be cheating too :)

Free diving is cool, but sometimes you need just a few seconds more, and that is when you need air, come on we should all be fair and dont judge divers for what they are doing

Free diving isn't much different. When you want to catch your limit and move on to fishing or just plaing diving, then tanks are a fin choice. You guys who think that free-diving is the ONLY way aren't being very reasonable. I do both and enjoy both methods equally for different reasons.

I will say this - I didn't see him measure it. It looked good sized but not so large that it didn't need to be measured.
