  • So this is wut meg griffin looks like in real life

  • What's with the lazy eye Meg

  • @bucknasty831 lmfaoo

  • why do you dress like meg from family guy

  • I gave up at 1.26. Mate, go for a run.

  • Ing he does look like meg griffin

  • Like this if you think he looks like meg griffin

  • Shut up meg!

  • stooooooooooooned

  • what a cunt

  • Are you stoned? Thats the kind of stuff I think about stoned

  • "Regardless of your beliefs [...} creationist" etc.

Dude, if someone is creationist, they don't recognize the possibility of life evolving on other planets, because they don't believe in evolution.

Other than that and your minor misconceptions (confusion between probabilities and statistics terminology etc.) I agree with you.

In all likelihood there is alien life, according to our current theories of how life evolves and our theories on the structure of the universe.

  • @0dWHOHWb0 Eh.. Well I watched the rest of the video and would like to make the following addendum:

You also seem to lack knowledge of physics and/or chemistry and the nature of our periodic table of elements.

There isn't an element unknown to us that a lifeform could be based on.

You see, all different elements are, is a collection of the same basic components -- protons, neutrons, electrons (simplified). The only difference between these elements is the amount of protons, and we already know

  • @0dWHOHWb0 .... all of them apart from some heavier elements that don't exist or have not been discovered in nature yet. And also there's other isotopes with varying amounts of neutrons and so on.

Your basic thesis is correct, however. Life on other planets has been theorised, for instance, to possibly be silicon based.

  • @0dWHOHWb0 so what exactly is your position on this controversial subject?

  • where was your camera... im losing sleep over this please respond.

  • Very cool video

Be easier to take you seriously without the hot pink hat...

  • @ekul129

inability to accept the fact that there could be a planet with other life forms given, there are over millions of galaxies, and over billions of other planets...is it so hard for them to just acknowledge there could be at least one... perhaps ego??, close mindedness??... oh well.. and yea I pretty much suck at bowling too

  • wear gayer clothing please.

  • Ur a fat and dumb:) and we dont care :) coz they mostly come at night mostly and you dont.....

  • with that hat, charlie mostly comes out at night.. mostly

  • That still doesn't explain why my dog has such hairy balls man!

  • Heya Charlie :) Thought I'd give ya a response on this very well put together thesis... mine is not so factual, however I think it's valid. Imagine for a second that the galaxies, with their center and orbiting planets are like a single cell in our bodies, with their positrons and neutrons, electrons, etc... what if, just what if, they are the same? In that case, the universe is literally living. One whole biological being, living inside another, inside another, inside us... Crazy huh? What if?

  • I mostly cum at night, mostly

  • Nice link, but some stuff he said was kind of off... all and all good video though.

  • i believe that time is infinite, meaning, that we could travel infinitely back in time and encounter an infinitive amount of scenarios when the universe has both started and ended as well as how things in it existed. so, theoretically speaking, there have been and infinite amount of life forms

  • That's really interesting that you just made a video about this. I've recently over the last two or three weeks also become very interested in this same topic and have been trying to explain the same facts to my friends.... but your explanation is spot on. Blew mine out of the water haha.

    Great vid.

  • i'm realistic

  • I want that hat.

  • SOOOO true.

    And I love the hat.

  • great vid. very true.

    and happy anniversary!

  • if you have all the perfect environment that include everything life needs. life will form on its own, and its been tested in laboratories. its just stupid to think that we are the only ones. even ancient civilizations talk about aliens.

  • Charlie,

Maybe there's life out there already , but just think about this:

ONE planet in the universe had to be the FIRST to evolve intelligence life. Who's to say it didn't begin here, on Earth?

  • nice hat

  • bowling?

  • wow great video :)

i think its crazy if we think about this kind of stuff because they find water on the moon and all the sudden they think there is life on the moon.... like its possible but i dont see it happening.

although it would make my day if they actually found something =]

  • i really like this video, because i feel the same way. possibly infinite possibilities. the only problem i see with this arguement is that the people you are disagreeing with are incapable of processing that type of information. not that i completely 'get it'...i just realize that there is more to the universe than we will ever know. its a humbling thought.

  • I'm pretty sure scientific studies have shown that it's probably life exists on other planets (because they recreate how the earth started and can create energized packets of stuff, meaning it's not as random as we think).

  • Just going to add, that if there is life it will probably be carbon or silicon because of how they bond with elements. Otherwise their quarks will probably be arranged differently and won't be atoms as we know it.

  • Some things we know, some things we know we don't know, and some things we don't know we don't know.

  • think about it with as many stars/planets in our galaxy if we are the only life forms that is plausible but to think that there are no other life forms in the whole of space is laughable. if only 0.0001% of the planets in space had life do you realize how many life forms that would be? millions! MILLIONS!!!!1!!1!! ;)

  • I thoroughly enjoyed this one man, keep it up!

  • Yeah this is what I've been thinking about alot. Mind boggling really, but yeah there is certainly a TON of shit we don't know in science.

  • theres somethin out there man

  • When will humans admit that we don't know squat? 500 years from now people will be laughing at the way we do things; what we think and believe will be as ignorant as what the middle ages are to us now.

  • Planets that are a shit load bigger than the sun do make me feel small, but it's fricken fascinating. Great vid dude! : )

  • twice he said he would collabe..but he never once answered my emails..funny he almost quit youtube cause sxephil did the samething to him... worship charlie if you want... but all I wanted was for him to be consistent.. don't say your going to collab on air and then be a douche off it..

  • what a butt hole :\

  • how exactly.. am I a butthole.. cause I call it how I see them.. I don't kiss ass like you do.. so your saying it is ok to say one thing in public and another thing in private.. I am aloud to be pissed... peace corp, LA... I am saying to him be a man... if you don't intend to collab with me don't tell the world you will.... guess we know you are two faced...

  • I was calling him a butthole, but you just made yourself look like a butthole right now, butthole.

  • oh..still he is not a butthole.. he just is really lost...

  • Welcome back man good way to look at that never even thought of it.

  • Welcome back sir~

  • Way to look at what is really important, and what we as a race should be focused on.

LIKE FOR INSTANCE THAT MONEY WE SPEND ON WEAPONS and defense each year, that money we spend on buying bigger locks and more fucking cops instead if we spend that money feeding, clothing, and educating the poor of the world, which it would many times over, not one human being excluded, and WE CAN EXPLORE SPACE, TOGETHER, BOTH INNER AND OUTER, forever in peace. Bill Hicks 1961-1992

  • yeah, 100 years ago scientists mathematicaly proved that trains could not go faster than around 20 mph or all the air would be sucked out and the passengers would suffocate.

they also mathematicaly proved that nothing heavier than air could fly (but how birds did it was a mystery)

  • they are sweet, that's what i was going to say, but for got to say it in the middle of saying it...it happens a lot:)

  • .

    .

    .

    .

  • I love this stuff!! Astronomy and Astrology are Happy Anniversary!

  • Sweeeet hat man X)

  • dude I'm not christian but i do believe in a creator. there are a shit load of planets about 10 to the 20th power. but the criteria for life is about 10 to the 130the power. it is considered statistically impossible at about one out of a billion. and we are talking about a number with so many zeros that it doesn't have a name. statistical impossibility says that it is impossible unless some kind of "force" wants it to happen.

  • Actually, scientists are finding the universe seems to be fit for our type of life. It's not just earth that allows us to flourish, it's a combination of factors that lead earth to be able to keep life the way it does. We've even made RNA in a lab with raw material and natural processes, all they basically did was watch it happen.

The number you mentioned is also rather small in comparison to the largest number used in mathematics. Look up Graham's number.

  • I agree with you, but most likely life outside of Earth would be Carbon, Silicon, or maybe Nitrogen based (If i remember right), We can be pretty damn certain that's how matter works universe wide, or we'd have probably detected something weird by now, one thing that might differ that could be unexpected is if they were made out of antimatter such as positrons and anti-protons and such.

  • ALIENS ARE REAL

  • where did you find your camera?

  • Make that second.

  • Did you say can or can't?

That threw me off the whole video.

    And first, by the way..

  • They found fossils of a parasite on Mars that is NOT on Earth. Proof of other life out there.

  • yay charlie :D
