Only years later I saw the movie on TV. And I said wow what an odyssey. I love soundtracks and I'm a fan of soundtracks. And I was hypnotized by the songs in the film of O Brother, Where art Thou?. Some songs are emotional and very meaningful and great.
After I watched the movie in TV, I immediately bought the DVD and the Soundtrack
Hello, i want to thnak to all of you to sending so many comment to this song.
Maybe i can tell you something about me. When I look at a video on Youtube, I wonder who is behind this preson. What was the reason for uploading a song.
Well I was born in Turkey. But I live in Germany (Hamburg).
When I O Brother, Where Art Thou first saw the commercial, I wondered what it could be for a film. And I did not understand the title. What was meant?
@bladiumdragon well the translation was "cinema" or "movie house" or "movie theater".. and i chose cinema. don't you use the word cinema or never heard? what is the correct word? how do you pronounce it in the USA, England or Belgium?
@FuNKyHotMix In the states,it's called a movie theater, in England,it's called a Cinéma(in France and southern Belgium as well.) The problem is belgium,they speak french in the south,but in the north they speak dutch.I don't know how you say movie theater in dutch.(nederlands.:3)
@bladiumdragon I am not from Holland years ago i was for 6 month in Amsterdam. But i speak german, turkish a little bit dutch and a little bit french. and we say in german "Kino" for movie theater :-)
@FuNKyHotMix kino?Sound kind of like a japanese word. I never made any reference to holland though.Unless you misunderstood when I wrote "nederlands". That's ,technically, the language called dutch in english.
well just south of maastricht in the netherlands they speak french as well, even though this is just, what 2 kilometres from the border, it isnt really the south, because its more of a diagonal line through belgium (;
and the word is bioscoop or cinema in dutch, even though bioscoop or somply bios is more common.
@rockr98 If I recall correctly it was actually based off of Ulysses, which is based on the Odyssey. But either way, definite Odyssey reference. And the music and setting are both awesome!
this is my gmas favorite :)
i have to love it also!

@i69urmomallday its ok, you probably just didnt understand the movie. its takes a certain amount of intelect to see the comparison to homers odyssey.
Warn02 in reply to i69urmomallday (Show the comment) 1 year ago
@Warn02
It was related, rather loosely, and you really have to look for it. Although there are some definite easy ones, like the cyclops, and a lot of quotes
