I think the accent doesn't bother us much as his English is grammatically-correct and well-organised. And speaking of the Thai Muslims, it isn't true the Malay Thais are lazy and dependent. Can someone explain to me why this more "liberal" government is unwilling to talk to the BNRC? I'm aware that they largely owe their hold on office to the PAD movement from last year, support from the middle/upper classes in Bangkok and the non-Muslim South, the military and monarchist right wing. As well as defections from Thaksin's old party. Is Abhisit unwilling to talk to the BNRC b/c he's head of such a weak coalition that he doesn't have the power to do so?
