@DerVampyrEngel All the box does as I was explaining is spit out midi information. It does also split the clean guitar signal out so you could run your guitar signal through anything you like.
@FlametopFred it probably wouldn't work that well with a 12 sting. It really needs low fundamental notes. Its like a octave pedal. You give it too much high frequency information and it just gets warbly, butut that can be fun for noise making.
@LittleEmoBoy001 It outputs midi to any device. So it should work. But keep in mind, it only works with single string playing. Does not work with chords. its like a Octave Pedal. You need a special Midi Pickup to be able to do polyphonic playing.
Great Stylophone impression.. but an expensive way of doing it.Our band used an AKS in the 70's and we used to just plug my guitar jack or mics straight into it and it worked(which I am sure Roxy Music did too) so I fail to see the need for the G2M and the Kenton in this case. However I have just bought a G2M and will be using it with my Sampler...Wish we still had the Synthi it was wonderful,my mate had to sell it and got next to nothing for it. 2 years later they rocketed in price....Doh!
@sbilts There's no way a Synthi 'AKS' would track with a guitar unless you had the EMS Pitch to CV converter. All you would have been doing would be processing the guitar signal through the filters. The G2M with the kenton is actually getting the Synthi's Oscillators to follow the guitar signal.
wow.. ok the converter is great.. but wow. even over the net!.. those old analog sounds are such a cut above anything u get now.. simple.. but with a depth that reaches the soul.
Thanks for the demo. I'm picking up one too but I'll be controlling it with my voice. I tried one out last weekend to make sure it works with my voice (I use an Art MP pre to make sure I have a fat input signal.) I've been searching a long time for something like this!
Just a heads up - that 'pop' at 2:08 is really bad, and since the volume in your video is really low, I turned my monitors up. Ouch.
Can I use a distortion pedal with this?

Cool gadget. Wonder what it would do with a 12-string ...

could I use this through my tascam midi interface to make my guitar sound like a violin in garage bands software instrument settings?
