Unfortunately, I missed this when it came out in 2008, but it is a masterfully made action movie whose underlying theme is simply a father's devotion to his daughter. And its genuine happy ending (after the father overcomes a seemingly hopeless situation) is a truly memorable one.

This is definitely in my Top 5 of all action movies! Lang lebe Liam Neeson!

Anyone who could see beyond the action should have the motivation to do something about it because of how bad and serious the issue is. My biggest disappointment was the end. How can the daughter just move on from something like that? doesn't make any sense. Also, there was no hint of the main characters wanting to get involved with the issue farther.
