  • This is a very good research. Very appropriate for japan.

  • This is excellent research that should help building contractors design safer buildings. Because many times it is not the first Earthquake that takes down the building, it is the second one that came years later. Sensors that detect fault in the building after a major Earthquake will be awesome.

  • Pretty cool. I would be interested in finding out what level of energy is absorbed at those butterfly connections. How many of those would a building need to have in order for a significant amount of energy to be absorbed?
