Thank you. A very moving video. I adopted a tortoiseshell cat when she was two years old. Her name is Holly. This breed is highly intelligent. She just turned nine on July 3rd. She has an indoor only home and gives and gets lots of love everyday. When she opens her mouth to meow, no sound comes out. Is this common for torties? Give your kitty a big hug for me. People like you make this world a whole lot better.
@LORDSPUP7 Thank you for the nice comment. If your cat has had a silent meow for 7 years, there is nothing to worry about. Maybe the vocal chords are absent or undeveloped. But, if this started recently, it could indicate a medical condition, perhaps a growth taking place. A torti should meow like any other cat.
