  • Loved this song when it came out. It's still pretty freaking good!

  • We are all babies in our own generation, this song was one that I listened to when I needed a jump start on something that was happening in my "youth". Still a great song and beat.

  • Yes, son, there was a time when music had balls.

  • 0:00 enjoy

  • Goddamn what a performance....Randy Bachman was a lion throated god.

  • @waynerjson

i am pretty sure this is fred turner singing this one..

  • Wish I was living back in these days again.... was so much fun and happiness!!! Carefree life !

  • Great Rhythm, and the singer gave all he had and pushed it to another level.

You did not need to be pretty just play pretty, maybe someday this will return.

    Let it ride.

  • bands and artists then wrote their material, the market came to them. now they write for the market. there will never be another zeppelin, beatles temptations, tops , aerosmith, luther, reo, frampton bto etc...........

  • I'm a child of the 70's. Kind of smiling at these comments because every generation thinks the music that came after it sucks. There's good and bad music in every genertion, including the music the kids are listening to currently.

  • @milkmaid1961 Yes, but there is a lot less of it. I like 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and even some 90s music. But in last 10 or 12 years I can't get into what's out there. Maybe a song or two. The artists need to get back in control of their music. You don't hear any meaningful songs, like protest songs, anymore because the record companies won't allow them-at least not in the main stream.

  • The KINGS OF CANADA!!!!!!! BTO 4ever!!!!!!!

  • @Vidiot760 ....or not.

  • I was 16 when this came out. I think we had better music back then

  • @upindownnout Think??? I KNOW SO

  • This is just awesome...thank you!!

  • top comment is very old foggey like

  • This song was recorded in the spring of 1974, don't here it much anymore.

  • there was more great artists and songs from the 70s alone then there have been since.

  • @57IAM go fuk yorself i will listen to what i like yu can stick that rap shit up yur ass

  • Great Muscle car music!

  • younger then got upset if ice cream fell off the cone. mommmy.

  • 70's music forever!!!

  • Wish I could go back in time. Good music and goin out dancin in my hip hugger pants and halter tops.....................sigh!

  • @sloopygirl100 Sloopy girl, didn't I know you in 1973? Must have. BTO Rocks!!!

  • @sloopygirl100 lol...I can relate

  • I love That 70's Show

  • could say the same to you, dude.

  • these guys crap bigger than anybody!

  • You are all babies...you can't appreciate the 70's....but glad you like OUR music..far more meaningful then the shit you listen to now!

  • @liviaoneday Your views are uneducated and inaccurate.

  • @liviaoneday

Im sick of hearing people claim music as "ours." it aint yours man, you didnt write it. its EVERYONES.

  • @kbonesddeuce take it easy ! one doesn;t have to own the copywrites on a song to make that claim

    in this case ,it's a feeling,more than a action

  • @kbonesddeuce True, true.

  • @liviaoneday I lved through the 70s... BTo was a wel known band when i waas 11 1/2 years old

  • @liviaoneday You are an aging dinosaur. You can't appreciate modern music. Tough shit. So what? you just listen to the same tired crap over and over. You can keep the 70's with its stupid Abba and Boney M. I'm going to keep listening to Rock 'n" Roll no matter what decade its from.

  • @dharmapunk777 Abba is a pop band not a rock group so they in no way represent rock music from that era.

  • @coolrog7564 The comment that I was replying to didn't specify rock. They said that the 70's had more meaningful music than today. Hence why I referenced shitty pop music from the 70's. To illustrate how vapid and lacking in meaning the music was back then too.

  • @dharmapunk777 point taken but we are commenting on a rock video so I assume that is the genre the original comment was referring to in the first place. in the end I guess we all view our formative years through rose colored glaasses. thanks for staying civil and B.O.L. in the future.

  • Love to listen to this song going down the road.

  • @Wolfv100 100 mph music for sure, only problem is after I hit 80, the tunes on the hog are hard to hear

  • fml i was born in the wrong generation

  • lookin for GANDY DANCER from their first album

  • Let it ride! Rock on!

  • awesome......

  • hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhooooooooooooooooo esta rola esta con madressssssssssss

  • no, i go'un let it ride!

  • Love this tune.

  • their best...

  • What an awesome record!

Having grown up hearing this one on the radio all the time I think I didn't appreciate how great and powerful it is.

    Strong!!!!

  • 14 people apparently have no FKN taste for music

  • the Band

  • a Canadian treasure

  • Classic song, great!

  • Classic!

  • What came first BTO or Bravebelt?

"Another Way Out" was another great Bachmann/ Turner

    song.

  • @dh190852

    Bravebelt before BTO

  • Doing homework is now nothing but wasted time if im not listening to good rock like BTO

  • Brings back good memories of happier times! Boy we had some good times back then.

  • @AllyCatt62 That is so right!

  • @AllyCatt62 All generations have their music, which is why I don't knock what came before or after me. I'm 59 and listen to all kinds of rock. It's a question of tastes. I'm sorry to see all the hatred spewed by know-nothing people. Just LISTEN TO THE MUSIC AND KICK BACK. Quit with the hate. It demeans others and lessens you as a person.

  • @57IAM Yeah, I imagine you sit back with a huge blunt and just enjoy the wonderfucl music of Lil Wayne, Snoop, and 50 Cent. You hypocritical prick. The music nowdays is dogshit and you know it. You just want to look good to the kids that read your horseshit. whoops, I guess i just demeaned myself for hating on shitty music.

  • @57IAM I agree 100%. It's so nice to see someone else say something about the things people find acceptable to say to each other. I've seen things people have written that is so over the line it's in a different time zone. I'm 51 and I'm no prude by any stretch of the imagination and I am shocked by it. What happened to common decency? Is it to much to ask for? Sadly, it appears so.

  • @AllyCatt62 YES WE DID!!!

  • looking at the album cover, i can't help but think it's a shame that now that the video has come to mean almost as much as the song to some people, being attractive greatly improves your odds of making it as a musician. have you ever seen a picture of Roger Waters from Pink Floyd? i'm not trying to be nasty here, but it's probably the reason Tool didn't appear in any of their videos.

  • @jackdeth28 Heh-Heh...then explain Ric Ocasick from the cars or my boy Lemmy from Motorhead!!!

  • @jackdeth28

Actually you are wrong. Classic rock bands had the best album art going. It is actually a lost art noadays.

  • theres just no such thing as real rock bands anymore

  • Comment removed

  • Gad I LOVE BTO

  • Great tune! I remember watching BTO on New Year's Eve 1973.

  • @MrBeast758 ROFLMAO!!! Best comment yet:)

  • @MrBeast758 look at the way it was dressed

  • Buddha told me to listen to this. Jesus agreed. Muhammed prefers Steely Dan.

  • Jesus told me to listen to this.

  • Lived it.. rode it... was all in it. ty for posting young one. Used to play this album nightly..yes... album.

  • BTO was was what you wanted to have playing on the 8-track while speeding down the highway with the top down. Ah, the wind blowing through your hair with BTO blasting away! The ultimate musical high........"Jagar"

  • I met Randy and Fred earlier this year. My dad's been a BTO and Guess Who fan since he was a kid, so we finally got to meet his idols! He was seriously like a kid in a candy store, and about peed his pants when Randy wanted to have pictures taken with him personally because of the custom Randy Bachman shirt we had made for my dad. It was a fantastic experience and I'm glad that my dad introduced me to good music, rather than the pop stuff that's being played on the radio. (:

  • Enough said!

  • Love the harmony! And the bass and beats lol, always that <3. My bf really loves a great deal of new music but he's also said that there is a lot that he misses about old songs like this one and lately I've been "seeing the light" :-) and I'm always happy to see old greats preserved on youtube for future listeners like me. Thank you for this high-quality upload :-)

  • LOVE IT!!

  • Met them personally, Batchawana Bay, ONT. Ca. - circa 1970. Besides The Guess Who - "No Time" on Liverpool 9009's channel, Flip to 4Oldies channnel "Spirit in the Sky" - Norman Greenbaum...Great GearHeadf stuff! Use the search bars to find.

  • Randy Bachman and crew... I saw them in Nassau Coliseum in the mid 70's.... BY FAR !!!!!!!!!!!!

THE LOUDEST ROCK GROUP THAT I EVER WITNESSED..

My ears were ringing 2 hours after the concert was over....

AND I AM IN TOTAL AGREEMENT.............. THE 60s and THE 70s and part 80s were the greatest time for rock and their artist.

  • When you are seeking something you can't find within yourself, many many times it can be found through music. I hear the watchers begging GOD for mercy when Jimi Hendrix plays Pali Gap so, listen to what moves you in a good way. Oh, I meant that in a very positive and good way about Pali Gap

  • Message to modern "rock" artists:

Good rock is like good beer.

    It only has 4 ingredients.

    Melody, Harmony, Rhythm,

AND A WHOLE LOT O' DA FUNK!

  • 60's & 70's What an era of ROCK & ROLL never to be repeated again glad I grew up in this period and enjoyed all the music. HIPPIES, SEX ,DRUGS AND ROCK AND ROLL!!!! I may be getting old but I wouldn't trade this era for nothing!

  • @ric726

    Lucky S.O.B :D

  • @ric726 ... couldnt agree more

  • @ric726 I agree,100 percent,rock on!!!!

  • Hear, Hear! I wouldn't have missed it for all the world, either!

  • Born in the 90s and grew up with 90s rock(like Korn, Linkin Park ect) and this music which is older but I still love it because my parents are from this time. This modern day HipHop crap makes me sick. Just wish they would glorify good rock music and this oldern music now'a days.

  • @rcrumbdisciple hey, we can still listen to classic rock. i'm 27 and i detest modern music.

  • First concert I ever saw...1974 Long Beach CA Auditorium...What I`d give.......

  • never fails to make me kick it into high gear

    let it ride, BTO!

  • They just don't make music like this anymore. Such a shame.

  • @1971Racefan They sure don't!

  • Sweet! Last heard this song at a strip club in Texas!

  • Media: Mr beiber what made you make music?

JB: The gods told me to spread my voice and release the world

Bachman Turner Overdrive: No we didn't.

  • @joesky43 no freaking kidding!

  • Comment removed

  • I'm Canadian so I grew up with BTO and to see young kid's these day's listening to the music I grew up with make's me believe in today's youth. Not only is this a great riff ,it's a part of Canada and nobody can change that.Remembering this band and all their hit's bring's back great memories and nobody can take that away so kid's,enjoy today what we had to grow up on and let's hope you can have great memories to this in 2011.

  • sounds like my 51 chevy pickup with a 394 olds rocket rockin down the highway those were the days gettin old has it's set backs, but lots of good memories

  • BTO is "muscle car" music! The kind of song you listen to while haulin' down the road in your '71 Olds 442!
