Cheers Ainsley. I'm a guitar teacher myself (classical) & a lot of my students are looking for material like the Scorps classic 'Rock you like a Hurricane'. Guy's like you are not only providing a invaluable service to students to the guitar, but also to teachers.
I don't suppose you fancy teaching the solos? Most of the lessons on here are bad quality and explanations are no where near as clear as yours! Would be great if you
yo dude, definetly use distortion, and make sure you are palm muting the first part of the verse. as far as eq goes, just probably roll like 5 bass 5 mid, and 8ish treble. and yeah a lot of gain too, just dial it in.
hey, i cant manage to make my guitar sound like the song, i think ive got my amp equilizer wrong or something (ive got a Roland Cube 15XL), its got 3 equilizer dials (one bass one middle one treble), or do they have distortion added? my amp has that too xD
but please can you tell me what im doing wrong? thanks dude :D btw, great tutorial
ps no, im not playing the wrong notes, ive checked several times, and read several different tabs, and everything says im playing the right notes :P
@YoGotPwndV1 Hi, yes, you definitely need distortion/overdrive for this, but not an insane amount as I'm pretty sure the Scorpions were using older Marshalls at this time (mid 1980s). Also, as soon as you can, consider upgrading to a fully tube (valve) amp. Nearly all the pros use them and they usually sound amazing. (I'm using one in all my videos).
@BiteSizeGuitar hey, thanks i did as @mattbell420 suggested for my eq, and fiddled around with my distortion, and now its almost perfect! :D many thanks, i subbed :D
@YoGotPwndV1 It sounded great the way it was. u play so exact i figuered out how to play it just by watching your fingers in the beggining. ive been playing for about 3 yrs. and this is one of the best lessons ever
Thanks, I've been looking everywhere for ages for a decent guitar tutorial for this song. It's really easy to follow and understand. Plus you're an epic guitar player :D
Hey what did you say about how its tuned? I dont know how to make my guitar tuned to how it is supposed to for that song. You said " ... ... minor" I couldnt really understand what you said.

@angels77100 Thanks very much! Happy to help. My classical guitar playing doesn't go much beyond some Tarrega! Keep up the good work. :)
