This is seriously the saddest song ever. My heart went out to Mr. Clapton and his family after their tragedy. This song is so heart wrenching and awesome. Just goes to show how song and music can be a therapeutic outlet and a means to communicate what's in your heart, whether it be a tragedy or just spending time with your father/son. :)

can you tell me, how much time you both needed to play it so fluently?

@JimPanse0612 That's a tough one, because we always played it with just simple chords for the longest time, only recently did we learn it the correct way. It took about 2 months of constant practice to learn it from scratch and be able to play it well enough together. Not a song that's too difficult, but it just depends on your experience level.

Sometime when I get into something like this I watch and rewatch it at different times of the day. The very fact that we get to see the back up player in this video has a lot to do with the impact of the total song. When Clampton does it, the camera is on him for the most part and that's not a bad thing but here we get to SEE where the sound deriveds as well as hear it. It gives one a visual respect for the guy on the right as well as the singer. I'm still in awe.

There are no good tabs for the second guitar. I figured it out myself for the most part, espescially the solo and alot of other parts. I could post a vid on how to play it, but I don't have time to make tabs. Let me know if you think that it would be a good idea.

i've just decided to attempt to tab the main 2 bits i wanted its the bits at 17 seconds and 29 seconds.... 1st bit (17secs) On 1st string: 5 slide to 7, then 5 again then on 2n string do the same... then hit 3rd string 6th fret then 2nd string 5th fret then down to 3rd fret on 2nd string 2nd part (29secs) On 1st string it goes... 2nd fret then 4th fret hit 4th fret again and slide to 5th then hit 4th fret and then 2nd fret, then open 1st string and finally 3rd fret 2nd string
