  • Some of those symbols remind me of those hieroglyphs that the Dharma Initiative used on LOST in the countdown clock and those beep noises and the flashing numbers seem like it'd be the ideal punishment Ben Linus would use in that brainwashing room where you're strapped to the chair and have your eyes clamped open.

  • Actually this game wasn't that bad, especially when it 1st came out. I remember getting/playing it as a kid. What people don't realize today, in a world of literally 1 million game titles, is that there were so few games initially released, that practically ANY game was new/exciting. I remember my father & I checking stores weekly/buying every new Atari 2600 title.

  • I have an Atari flashback

  • This looks like the most obnoxious game ever made for that system.

  • I love Concentration. Heretics!

  • Illegal to throw away atari carts? Tell that to E.T., they buried truckloads of that game. Literally!

  • can i feed the "memory match" after midnight?

  • Illegal to throw away atari carts? Why? Hazardous chemicals or something?

  • My god, those sounds actually gave me a headache!!

  • guess what? i won a atari 2600 on ebay with 34 games and ET is in it

  • congratulations :D

  • But that was included not slipped in there?

  • That game is so bad, it's funny, lolz.

  • @rvbandsonicfan Yeah my sister has it for her atari.

  • @rvbandsonicfan Please don't use ET it will cause the end of the world!

  • @rvbandsonicfan i feel sorry for you

  • @rvbandsonicfan don't put ET in your system uless you want your atari to get aids

  • What is the second song you used in the beginning of this video?

  • @mcjedi96 wow you accually think that works, it f***ing text!!!!!!!!!!! i could say im a billionaire with no life and live with a hobo aand you'd believe it.

  • Memory Match was actually a Sears "Telegames" product. The Atari version was called "A Game of Concentration"; not to be confused with the game show of the same name.

  • "eeeehhhh urrrrrrrrrrrr"

LOL those sounds might be worse than the sounds in Superman for the Atari 2600.

Still another interesting review from the CGR :)

  • Closing the pop-up ads in miliseconds... I've got it down to an artform.

  • hehe.... look how old those rasterizers are...

  • Dont listen to anyone that complains about your game selection, thanks for doing all of the odd and old stuff. I like atari, I have a 5200. I do love the nes and sms better. Thanks for the reveiw!

  • Wow, can you seriously not watch these videos than you ignorant fuck?

  • That game is crap!! Ahhh!! My ears!!! Who designed that crap?!?!?! Satan???

  • "What the heck, i didn't order Memory Match!" Rofl

  • what a boring pile of shit this game must of been, am gonig to play on my sega megadrive! tHUNDER fORCE, fUCK YER!!

  • same here i was focused too much on the flashing numbers lol

  • Took me a minute or so to grasp how the game worked...I feel stupid...

  • I would rather play ET over this game. Cool video.

  • I use these sound effects as my ringtone....

  • cool

  • Why couldn't all the numbers on the board be rendered at once? The Odyssey's Matchmaker game had no problem doing that.

  • I guess the Atari 2600 memory was too limited to render it all. Maybe if they put in extra ram into the cartridge, it would render it all.

  • the atari had, guess what only 128 bytes, not kilobytes, bytes, thats 128 0's or 1's in the RAM.

oddesey 2 i slightly more advanced

  • I think the problem was more likely the graphical limitations, not the ram. Background graphics are very simple and limited so they apparently couldn't render the numbers that way.

They must have used sprites for the numbers and the 2600 can't have very many of those on a scanline.

It's a bad design though, like rsidntevil posted earlier. They wouldn't need numbers if you could just highlight a square with the joystick and push the button to flip it.

  • It's ilegal to throw away Atari games? Really. I suspect this is the reason for the video game crash, too many poorly written games.

  • I never knew buying lots of Atari games was so hazardous!

  • yea some 1 sliped E.T. n to a lot i got

  • funny review. It seems like they tried to make that game work with the keyboard controller. It would have been more fun if you could use the joystick controller. move up down left right ...red button flip.

  • I want to see your game collection next, I know the consoles, but I want to see it all together, games and consoles, we must see the classic game room in total!

  • I believe "Yars' Revenge" deserves a CGRHD review...

  • Allready been done yo

  • I wholeheartedly agree

  • There is an original CGR review!

  • Yeah, the old one, but I meant the CGRHD version, a better and new one... :-)

  • LOL, "because it's illegal to throw away atari cartridges"...

  • wares the hd?

  • i think if you get it to hd i wil see the same graphics like in normal quality in this video!!

  • can you reword that plz?

  • I dont know, ET actually looks more fun then this game.

  • I love my daily dosis of vintage systems on the Classic Game Room, thanks :)

Oh! I forgot to mention that I received my CGR's DVD as a gift from my good pal Lee...

Buy it! It worths your money!

  • this was a great game

  • agg omg i hate the noise in the game

  • looks so confusing!
