Her parents were Canadian missionaries and were stationed there. I am fortunate to have seen Ellen McIlwaine perform many many times since 1974. She has always been a friendly and inspiring musican.

I've just knew her in several days before.
I listened to her old songs too,
`toe hold'or `born under～'
And I thought she's amazing.
I said `her singing is so original'^^
I heard she grew up here in Japan .
Regurdless of it, she's almost unknown in Japan.
