Soo.... Sad... What we are promoting... instead of taking care of the city infrastructure, fighting corruption in goverment, and take car of the economy...
Hi my name is Michael Bradt. I have lived in Toronto and in or around the gay village almost my entire 50 year life and it is where I reside today.
Although many village friends know me as a decorator/painter/entrepreneur and garden enthusiast, I am even more proud of an even greater personal contribution to my community and now this world class event, World Pride 2014.
The Canadian Gay flag was created out of a necessity to represent and unite Canadian Gays during trying times. Canadian Queers and communities across the country have warmly embraced the flag and showed it off over the years. It is now instantly recognizable, locally and globally thanks to all my brothers and sisters, flying, wearing, and sharing it with pride and a smile.
TORONTO is Diverse and we will show the world that anyone and everyone, despite there sexuality can and will live harmoniously in this WORLD CLASS CITY!PERIOD!
toronto needs something like this, although we are a very multicultural city, homophobia is still in the forefront of many peoples minds. Being out is hard living in the outskirts further away from downtown, like north york west end, jane and finch, jane strip, going to the east end in scarborough. The problem is that there is very little tolerance toward our community, hopefully by having world pride we could open up the eyes of the ignorant.

This is great timing for me because when a couple million queers desend on Toronto for this huge gay bash, the 2014 World Cup of Soccer will be going on in Brazil. Thats where i,m going to be instead of staying in Toronto.I want to be as far away from this as possible. What a shame for Toronto.
World Pride 2014 will be in Toronto. They got the 2/3 majority votes!

I am humbled and honored the World Pride 2014 is being held in our backyard and we will all be a part of something bigger than ourselves.
You belong! Welcome to Toronto, to Canada, to freedom, you belong, we all do!

I bet the Catholic priests are trying to book rooms already. Bishop Layhey will love this party.
