Heya! I have seen you wear the lipglass chai in couple of your videos. I have ver pigmented lips and chai shows up on my lips but after a bit...it kinda goes cakey and my natural colour shows through. Do wear a lipliner or anything like that so that your lips are totally nude???!
Thank you! The trick is getting to know the colors you have and playing around with them. You'll be surprised at the great combinations you come up with!
Thank you, Elle! I'll be doing more of this type of video in the future, and I hope they are all practical, personable, pithy, and pleasing. That may become my motto. ;)
Very pretty, EmsyJay! For some reason, though, I cannot for the life of me (maybe it's my undertones) wear Gorgeous Gold E/S by MAC. After just a couple of hours of wearing it, it went totally green on me....YUCK...
I can, however, find another way now to wear {that} Coppering, as this is a very tricky E/S to work with.
Nonetheless, this is a very pretty look and I hope you feel better!
I'm sorry to hear that Gorgeous Gold gives you problems. Do you have oily lids? It may be shifting green because oil on your lids mixes with the shadow and makes it look almost like it would if you had applied it wet. (Just a hypothesis.) If that's the case, a base between your lids and the color may help. Alternatively, you could apply another yellow shadow or yellow base under GG so that the yellow is most prominent.
Thanks! I'm feeling better already. I just sound like a frog! :)
Yeah, I do have quite oily skin period, but I always prime and use a base before applying color to my lids. It never looked as though it were applied wet--it just appeared green in hue after about an hour of wear. And not a pretty green, by the way! LOL...
One would think I could take on such a color, provided I have a cool complexion. However, I have found that using yellow-based shadows gives a more subtle effect; I just have to stay away from those that contain or hint at green. I think I was so taken aback because, although we're the same complexion, I can't take on greens too well. TSK TSK TSK!!!
Yes, you do have beautiful eyes but I really like your voice! I hope you talk more in future vids/tuts...
