people..... he dumped the wax and water out of an original lava lamp that he bought.... not that fucking hard..... and its a waste i heard when you put the solution in another bottle it will foam up and the water will get all murky...... the real recipe for the wax is a secret it smells like lighter fluid with the texture of candle wax

Your make the surrounding liquid by adding salt. to water (4% solution) Then color benzyl alcohol with dye from a marking pen. Add the alcohol (only benzyl) to the salt solution. Cap and heat on a lamp (make one with a light bulb within a can that will accept the bottle without it falling through.

i think all he did is that he had an old lava lamp and just put all the stuff that was already in the lava lamp inside the bottle and put the bottle on the metal base that the old lava lamp glass sat on and wala you have an absolute vodka lava lamp

I think theres a way to make one by filling a bottle w/ vegtitable oil and food coloring.......then cutting an alkaselzer tablet into 8 pieces. you slowly drop one in till it stops fizzing then repeat untill you have droped all 8 pieces. Then shake bottle and put a flashlight under it........................

It's wax people. You get some colored wax, melt it, put it in the bottom of the bottle, then fill it with water. Warm water melts the wax, and heat rises so it goes to the top of the bottle- when it cools, it goes back down. Basic knowledge to figure out if you pay attention in biology :P

@Astaroth6000 LOL, its actually physics... And its the buoyancy what makes the wax move up and down... The hot coil heats the wax, expanding it, thus making it less dense than the water, or whatever liquid its submerged in... When it reaches the cooler water at the top, it contracts becoming more dense and losing its temporal buoyancy....

im making one its pretty self explanitory.

just take your favorite liquor bottle, empty your lava lamp contents into it (kinda difficult) and then place the bottle on the base of original lamp as if it were the original lamp bottle.

-sigh- does not one person remember the original Lava lamps? The wa is heated slowly. That makes it float. But by a light bulb under the bottle. It does get rather hot and back in the day they made the bases out of metal. I remember my mom's lava lamp burning the crap out of my toe.
