  • I think the Monster look's Good! Great Stop motion work by the late great David Allen! xD!

  • Cheesy and bad, but to me enjoyable. Actually shocked that it ended in a somewhat down and sombre way. Do like the music during the aftermath and the end credits.

  • I miss the 70s.

  • This was one of many B movies that came out in the 70's and that had great stop motion but every thing esle about those moives sucks. Another good example was Laser Blast. The only good thing about that moive was the stop motion aliens.

  • I wish the full movie was uploaded on YouTube. This is a great classic!

  • Wow that was superb stop-motion animation!

  • Im so frightened that the hay stopped the sherifs car...

  • HAHAHAHA THE SHERRIFS COMB OVER IS A HOOT

  • @ukgardener1 so is his police car ! A 72 Buick Skylark station wagon ? Couldn't they even find a 4 door Dodge ?

  • Best movie ever made during dukes of hazard breaker breaker convoy buckaroo yahoo..Oh Gawd whats her name Daisy duke she was supposed to be hot? Ha! Maybe convicts truckers dirty bikers bastards..lmao!! i mean wouldn't kick her out of bed for anything, i guess shes alright.. The way i see things and talk shit only reason is because i can get away with what im talking about as long as i hide behind computer on youtube there is no such thing as punishment, fessing up or consequences

  • One of my favorite bad B movies. I actually live about 28 miles from Crater Lake, Oregon & it's funny as hell they talk about driving into town (Cresent City) which is on the N. California coast and nowhere near here. HA! Love it!

  • Why did they ever stop using stop-motion? It made a bad movie good!

  • @Themaniacnextdoor Everyone in Hollywood loves CGI now.

  • @jay55also Did everyone in hollywood get lobotomys done?

  • when did this happen? holy shit.

  • Great acting. By the monster and Artie.

  • what disgustingly poor acting!

  • @rankingtrevor they were the forerunners of Bevis and Butthead.

  • Its kinda scary when the monster is the best actor in the movie...

  • ...plesiosaurs are highly susceptible to shaving injuries.

  • I learned a lot from this clip; People were a lot more fragile in the 70's, plastic surgery is a necessary evil, and pleisios

  • beats cgi

  • How did that machine kill the plesiosaur? Two "stabs" and suddenly, the animal is fatally wounded? That seems way too easy. I thought it would take something more impressive like rockets or missiles to kill it.

  • Film was pretty bad, true, but the stop-motion animation.....there's just something more realistic about it than today's special effects.

  • How did a member of ZZ Top get roped into that?

  • Cryptozoology novel see video book trailer

  • isnt that THING a dinosaur?

  • @MsGrantula no its a aquatic reptile it just live the same time as the dinosaurs

  • make a remake LOL !

  • They all go to Kelsi Grammars hairdresser

  • wow, what a terrible ending

  • @GEEKEDUP4u2 How so? It's a million times better than modern day B-Movies, where the monster looks like something from an N64 video game!

  • @PowerOfMontage I agree 100%.

  • that was actually pretty good. better than cgi id say

  • i thtink its cute

  • Pretty good effect actully.

  • Where does the crater lake monster fit into God's plan for us?

  • @watcherman98 ha see what you did there, MST3K

  • Carnosaur flashbacks anyone?

  • Primative by today's standards but a lot of fun back in the 70's.

  • @TomatoeAssassin sure beats CGI though

  • Saw this with my brother when we were kids. Even then, we knew it was a very bad movie and we mocked the lines and acting. "Our boats, Artie...our boats!" But the stop-motion still looks cool.

  • Is this monster in the crater lake in Oregon?

  • @MultiPearl007 No, it's one in California.

  • Wow. That claymation police car looks really real.

  • A film that awful did not deserve effects that good.

  • Man that is some awful acting.

  • the guy with the gun is the same that play jack , in the 1976 remake of king kong ?

  • @lucasgiaco If you are thinking Jeff Bridges you are very very wrong!

  • Ball and socket jointed steel armature covered in foam latex if anyone's interested. Looks good.

  • ps...he also did another movie called THE EVICTORS if you're interested in seeing that one, too.

  • Believe it or not, the guy that dies is my brother-in-law. He's a registered nurse now in Louisiana, alive and well.

  • It's not made of Clay it's not Claymation.

  • @retromaster2000s It's so annoying, ain't it? All these kiddies calling stop animation "claymation".

  • i gotta admit at the end it was pretty sad that the guy died

  • i admit this film isnt the best but any film with a dinosuar is a great film i just h8 oit when the monster dies why cant it won for once

  • no offence, but the sea monster look like it is made from clay. But back in the 1950s i think it is very famous!

  • Mr Allen along with Jim Danford were 2 of the top stop action animators of their day. Check out David's wonderful work on "The Gate." I love the bit where the little demons jump for joy when the big demon comes out of the hole to hell. Thanks for posting !

  • It's a shame plesiosaurs couldn't move on land, that would be alot cooler.

  • ray harryhausen would be proud. that really does look pretty good.
