Too bad this was a Hollywood dressed up B version. It didn't show how 'all' of Dillinger's women were prostitutes. He preferred them for who knows why, apart from they were as sleazy as he was. I also recall hearing that he had a severe case of Gonorrhea AND or the worst kind of VD. He murdered in cold blood, men and women. He certainly got what was coming to him,but what bothers me is how Hollywood makes these creeps into heroes by having top name stars play them. Johnny Depp being the recent.

I live in Mooresville, Indiana (the town where John Dillinger lived) and, the producers of the movie were going to pay the city to redo the main street to make it look like it did back in the olden days so they could film it here. However, the dumb town board said no, even though the producers were going to pay to get it done.

Absolutely! The movie is Public Enemies, and it comes out July 1, 2009. Christian Bale is also in it. People during that time thought of him as a hero because John would steal from the banks that had foreclosed on thousands of homes, so there was no sympathy for the banks! Hmmm...sound familiar? Makes you wonder who the John Dillinger of today will be.
