Thing is, women develop romantic relationships with candidates and have a difficult time accepting that the romance may have come to an end. My girlfriend didn't want it to be over. I had a long talk with her about it. We were all hoping things would go better, that the People would wake up. They didn't, and now we have to go back to the drawing board and plan the next move. Most likely though, we'll be in world war within 18 to 24 months, if not sooner.
Party isn't over- and nothing about the strategy has changed. The media has prevented any possiblity of a popular vote thus we shall succeed in getting the delegate vote.
Its a shame I can't keep going with this dialogue but I have no time for dissenters at this point. Sorry, hope you come back into the fold- as it IS the only hope.

Those hanging on to hope for Paul to win a brokered Republican convention are the one's who can't handle the truth. Paul himself said "there is ZERO chance for a brokered convention". Paul siad just yesterday that "America doesn't have much time". To sit back and waste the the next 8 months hoping for a miracle is a waste of time when a move to third party would i9nstantly double the base of support. There's power in growing numbers. Stagnation will take away any momentum there was.
So you're willing to sit back and watch the momentum fade away over the next 6 months based on a 1 or 2% possibility that Paul could pull off a miracle at the convention in Sept? Even if he did somehow pull off a miracle it wouldn't be a respectable one. I'd like to see a real victory, with a large base of real support. I say screw the warmonger Republican party...and I'm a registered Republican for 25 years.

Ron Paul could leave the Republican Party and move to the Libertarian Party where he would instantly triple his base of support. This may help him to reach a "tipping point". Do you know what a tipping point is?
Yes, I know what Paul said in the letter. I disagree with his decision. And as a major contributor to his campaign I have a right to disagree. And as I have mentioned several times, Paul will ultimately make decisions about what he will do. I simply am trying to point out lost opportunities, and would also like to know how all the others in his base of support are feeling. That's all.
How I feel about it is this. I am committed to the republican party with the intent to carry out the plan- and frankly its right off the GOP credo / mission statement but which the GOP fails to read and adhere to.
This campaign has been nothing but forthright- when I restated my alliance to GOP it was on the notion that responsibility was the order of the day. Affect change at a local level. The rEVOLution carries on one way or another. And I have no doubt a brokered convention=Prez Paul
Just got the final word from the Paul campaign. It's over, he's all but out and planning on going back to what will essentially be remote obscurity in Congress. They say he just didn't want to drop out and hurt the feelings of legions of supporters. Too they were worried about how dropping out would make them look. They also lacked confidence that Paul could win against Hillary. I think Paul and the campaign simply realized that the American people won't wake up until they're starving.

I just got word from my state campaign director. IT'S OVER. I will still write in Ron Paul in November. Obama, like all the others, is a bought and paid for puppet of Big Corporate. Hell have us in world war within a year to boost the economy.

It'll take a military revolt or coup to turn things back around. Don't see this happening anytime soon, but ya never know. Paul did receive more contributions from all four branches of military than any other.

He said the Revolution "is permanent" but there was "zero chance for a brokered convention with Romeny out" and he "would not make a third party run". Somebody is gonna have to step up to replace him as leader of the Revolution, soon. Gotta strike while the iron is hot. Otherwise, this Revolution might not be so "permanent". McCain has it in the bag. They're showing Washington as I write this - McCain is in the lead, Huckabee 2nd and Paul 3rd. This is a new American Revolution....not a revolution of the Republican Party. Hey bwilson- Here's what I know/recall- Dr. Paul has said he's a republican, he has no intention of running on a 3rd party ticket, he has every intention to run in Texas congressional race ALSO because Texas law allows it (as long as he complies with the no sour grapes legislation ie stays in one party), he has said he will continue as mentioned as long as the supporters continue to support him, donate to the campaign and rally, vote, become delegates etc.
I still disagree. Just yesterday Paul said he was "worried that this nation doesn't have much time", and that we're facing an economic collapse: a financial debacle. If so, I don't understand how one lonely seat in Congress is gonna do anything to help. He's been banging his head against a wall for 20 years in that Congress. Nothing will change. From another video I gleaned the idea to have many thousands of us reroute our Bush so-called stimulus $800 bribe money to Ron Paul to stimulate his campaign to win the presidency and solve the problems made by Bush(s). I saw an estimate we need about $150M, thus a reasonably small number of donors.

And I can tell you that Osama and his followers were once influenced by US military presence in the Middle East. But no it's too late to just leave. Those hanging on to hope for Paul to win a brokered Republican convention are the one's who can't handle the truth. Paul himself said "there is ZERO chance for a brokered convention". Paul siad just yesterday that "America doesn't have much time". To sit back and waste the the next 8 months hoping for a miracle is a waste of time when a move to third party would i9nstantly double the base of support. There's power in growing numbers. Stagnation will take away any momentum there was.

Even if he did somehow pull off a miracle it wouldn't be a respectable one. I'd like to see a real victory, with a large base of real support. Not only is momentum fading and Internet activity cooling significantly, many less-informed Paul supporters are moving over to the Obama camp.
Life itself, existence, is a miracle. Everything else must be worked for and strategic planning is a must in politics.
We'll have to wait and see how things work out. I'd bet that within 18 months the US will be expanding the war on terror throughout the mideast, and then, world war. Bankers gotta fix the economy somehow to stay in power.

Yes, I know what Paul said in the letter. I disagree with his decision. And as a major contributor to his campaign I have a right to disagree. And as I have mentioned several times, Paul will ultimately make decisions about what he will do. I simply am trying to point out lost opportunities, and would also like to know how all the others in his base of support are feeling. That's all.

How I feel about it is this. I am committed to the republican party with the intent to carry out the plan- and frankly its right off the GOP credo / mission statement but which the GOP fails to read and adhere to.
This campaign has been nothing but forthright- when I restated my alliance to GOP it was on the notion that responsibility was the order of the day. Affect change at a local level. The rEVOLution carries on one way or another. And I have no doubt a brokered convention=Prez Paul

Just got the final word from the Paul campaign. It's over, he's all but out and planning on going back to what will essentially be remote obscurity in Congress. They say he just didn't want to drop out and hurt the feelings of legions of supporters. Too they were worried about how dropping out would make them look. They also lacked confidence that Paul could win against Hillary. I think Paul and the campaign simply realized that the American people won't wake up until they're starving.

I just got word from my state campaign director. IT'S OVER. I will still write in Ron Paul in November. Obama, like all the others, is a bought and paid for puppet of Big Corporate. Hell have us in world war within a year to boost the economy.
It's best for supporters to know the truth so we can know where we go from here, and plan. Hopefully someone else will step up to the plate or the Revolution will cool off. I still think a third party run would have done wonders.

I am still waiting on that nuclear acorn in McCains cheek to explode. Keep an eye on it -it twitches when he's angry. But barring this miracle, we will just have to put our faith in the delegates & the people. McCain does not represent the hope for the republicans, that is obvious to all. But what do we do now that we have come so far - just tarry on. No Ron Paul supporters are defecting to the Obama camp. On the contrary, Mitts folks are coming to us. No cooling on the net. You Wish!

Not at all. Obama is just another slick politician who has mastered speaking out of both sides of his mouth. Obama says: "The troops will be out of Iraq in 12 months"...then in the next sentence says: "We will fight the global war on terror". I suppose he plans to redeploy troops to Iran, Pakistan and Venezuala, those who are next on the Big Corporate list for "regime change".

It'll take a military revolt or coup to turn things back around. Don't see this happening anytime soon, but ya never know. Paul did receive more contributions from all four branches of military than any other.

The Patriot Act was largely penned by Clintons admin and yes, they are dictatorial.
The military and ex-military I have access to are well aware of their duty and know they couldn't move without the community, which is what Ron Paul has succeeded in culminating (at least starting it) It's a Happy time my friend. let's keep our chins up, boots on the ground for Paul.

Did you get the letter yesterday from Paul to supporters? He said the Revolution "is permanent" but there was "zero chance for a brokered convention with Romeny out" and he "would not make a third party run". Somebody is gonna have to step up to replace him as leader of the Revolution, soon. Gotta strike while the iron is hot. Otherwise, this Revolution might not be so "permanent". One way or another though, ther'll come change. Maybe if & when the People have trouble putting food on the table?

McCain has it in the bag. They're showing Washington as I write this - McCain is in the lead, Huckabee 2nd and Paul 3rd. This is a new American Revolution....not a revolution of the Republican Party. A move to the Libertarian Party would triple the base of support for Paul. There's power in numbers. Paul must be in the presidential debates to have a shot of winning. I'm holding out hope that Paul will make the move at some point, or that someone else will run third party and Paul endorse him.

But that is not going to happen. Dr. Paul is, as he has said for months and months, committed to the republican party and running, per Texas law, for Presidential and congressional races.
I will ALSO write him in- but, I respect the lovely and good Dr., and although maxxed also at 23K to Prez campaign recently sent FRNS to his congressional race. I support Dr. Paul iN ALL THINGS, WHATEVER THINGS HE WANTS.

You seem to have forgotten that for Paul it's not suppose to be about "what he wants" but what the People want. Paul has said over and over "I will do what the supporters want me to do". Remember?
I say they should put a questionaire on the front page of his website and ask the People if they want him to run on a third party. Let the People decide. Unless, of course, Paul is just out of gas?

Hey bwilson- Here's what I know/recall- Dr. Paul has said he's a republican, he has no intention of running on a 3rd party ticket, he has every intention to run in Texas congressional race ALSO because Texas law allows it (as long as he complies with the no sour grapes legislation ie stays in one party), he has said he will continue as mentioned as long as the supporters continue to support him, donate to the campaign and rally, vote, become delegates etc.

I still disagree. Just yesterday Paul said he was "worried that this nation doesn't have much time", and that we're facing an economic collapse: a financial debacle. If so, I don't understand how one lonely seat in Congress is gonna do anything to help. He's been banging his head against a wall for 20 years in that Congress. Nothing will change. Maybe he knows what I know: The People will not wake up until they can no longer put food on their tables. After all, he's a historian.

You people who laugh at me are wrapped-up in emotions..not reality. Yeah, Ron Paul's ideas are nice, but only on paper. Among these other candidates he's too much of an extremist. Americans simply will never elect him. And if international politics have any role (which, surprise, they do!) in who we elect, Ron Paul won't even make it. It may seem possible, but it's just not going to happen. The media won;t promote him as a legitimate candidate.

International politics? Have you seen how many people around the world are coming out to support Ron Paul? The entire WORLD wants America to return to a country of decency and restore our "American" values.

Ron Paul people think it's so simple to just pull-out. The effect it would have would be devastating..much worse than the current turmoil. If the US left S. Korea, Japan, and Germany we wouldn't just lose their international support, we would also lose major partners in trade, and in a world continually growing closer cutting those ties would be catastrophic.

I am a democrat, and I support ending the war immediately, and I support liberty. However, I've also a Middle East scholar. And I can tell you that Osama and his followers were once influenced by US military presence in the Middle East. But no it's too late to just leave. We've made so many blunders we've dug ourselves in a deep hole. Unfortunately our departure would haunt us in the long run---perhaps immediately.

you people just don't understand. He'll never win...ever. Big business will never support him...and they run the country. Unfortunately for you isolationists, he's got no chance. This country is not what it was in 1776. Or 1876...or even 1976. The US is losing its share in the world's progress, and Ron Paul just wants to slow that down. So what if he didn't vote for Iraq...neither did Obama.

The Founding Fathers were progressive thinkers of their time.I believe that if they could be here today they would advocate a progressive foreign policy and trade. Every other country is doing it, and as economics goes, once you're out of the loop it's hard to get back in. Ron Paul may save your tax dollars, but how's he going to improve the US's FTD? Oh and by the way, where was your computer made? ...overseas..like your iPod?...yup.
