@KitKatPerryfan To be frank there's something wrong with your mother then. Being able to reveal one self as depressed requires a great deal of courage. Not many people dare to be vulnerable towards other people.

I for one, have no trouble showing if i'm troubled by something. However it has to be to friends as i can't do it to my parents or sisters. I can't explain why. But that's how it is for me.

When I was a little girl my mother would gently stroke my hair & sing me to sleep. Her singing was so sweet that I wished I could become a singer too & wondered why she didn't want to become an important singer herself. However, the look of contentment on her face as she sang to me was not something I achieved through my own performing & as I grew I came to a great realization.

If I am to become a great singer - it will be in singing to those I love & care for deeply.
