Seriously guys. Instead of spending tens of thousands of dollars buying this. Find out how it's built and what makes it so good. Buy your materials, and create something equally good if you know how to build stuff. (and if you don't, then learn!)
@sonicballer8888 due to its price it is more of an investment, a large studio would use it on many projects. for a single project a company would lend it for a fee, smaller studios or indie film makers are more likely to rent this
I wondered how they got those great shots on "Who Want's to Be a Millionaire" until I found out about the Technocrane (the first telescopic crane like this).
I'm sitting here with my eyes wide open. WOW...I love it. Where can I find out more? I have an EZ FX jib crane and now after seeing this I feel like I'm back in the dark ages.
Is the parallelgram hidden inside the telescoptic part or does the head just hang by gravity, I notice at the head 2 conections to the PT head which indicates telecoping paralellagrm
I Love this Video and also I checked out your Channel. Very interesting! If you need any help getting this Video and your Channel exposed to were it is top in all the search I found this site called tubeviews.(net) that has took my breath away. I'm working on my 4th Channel now, this one I just made. My Videos are getting so many hits now. Check it out and keep in touch.
hey cool one that is really advance i dont think i need that my home made Jib is more simple and can do the same work, I m fine witout the fancy one..good job though
I don't think its worth it... in order to make a medium budget movie, you need something like 70000$ ... + a lot of help from friends and relatives, so this jib is stupidly complex and expensive :)))
Its hard to get some shots with an normal crane. And with a live production y dont want the crane in your way/shot.. Its the Perfect Crane if you got the money, And the people who know how to use it.
You can rent them by the day here in Canada for $1500.00 + Crane Tech rates (usually around $500.00) + Dolly Grip ($350.00 + )
Budget yourself for at least $2500.00 per day for a techno crane...not including OT rates if its a union gig, but the 2500 hundred is a good number for a commercial gig for the day.
How does a person get plugged into and find local Union's; what are the suggested search terms on Google?
Looking for ways of finding job's as a Dolly Grip in the New England area. Recently moved from Portland Oregon. I have Cameras and other equipment looking to make CA$H. So far only using craigslist. THANKS SO MUCH!
He would also be around $400-600 for the day...budget him in or you wont have any pan tilt rotate movement to you shot...which makes getting this type of crane all the more worth it.
Wait, its not a Supertechno Crane, but has a old cammate head on it....talk to me. Does the operator of the jib also control the camera, while swinging and teloscoping? Zoom/Focus/Pan/Tilt/Arm/Telescope?
Usually the operation of this type of crane will fall into the Dolly Grips hands, with the crane tech being responsible for the telescoping...but there are times when the Dolly Grip will control all the movements....zoom/focus/iris are controlled by the 1st assistant camera, pan and tilt fall into the cinematographers hands on a gear head.
