They only named him Nigelb because they couldn't have Dennis w/o Colin, and they couldn't get Colin back. The character is basically the same. Dennis & Colin weren't in the 5th movie, but they were in the DA< so she had to get them from somewhere.

Only one thing wrong: The kid you said was Dennis Creevey isn't. His name's Nigel and he was my favorite part of OOTP. :)

I don't think she had much of a choice since they never mention Dennis in the movies, and that kid seemed to match the part well enough.
