I have this same exact model macbook (with a 2 GB ram upgrade), and I can tell you that snow leopard runs flawlessly on it. The only setback is that my model has the 60 GB hard-drive, which can be a letdown for someone who has huge music/movie libraries, but other than that, it is a good laptop. For a 2006 machine, it is still as fast as a lot of laptops PC stores sell today.

actually there is a free program called VirtueDesk that has a feature called "Smackbook" that uses the Hard drive sensor to allow you to literally smack your computer and have it change desktops.
