  • What an angel!

  • aw little kids with locs are soo cute! she's adorable!

  • She's very cute!

  • She is so precious! And I love that she prefers locs!

  • She might have to cut her hair off if she wants them out ya know.

  • Or I can take them out...but why is it so bad to have short hair? If you want to get rid of a relaxer you have to cut you hair too...either way she's beautiful with short or long hair.

  • @xxDawlinSingerxx So what? She would be bald and beautiful for a while lol. Hair grows back.

  • She is too cute and her locs are beautiful!

  • soooo precious! my son is almost six and he's been begging for locs. good to see your daughter's progress :)

  • lol oh truee but how can you not notice! lol

  • i remember when i was snagatooth lol

aww you daughter pretty she gon break alot dudes hearts lol

  • I know! They still haven't grown completely in but there's 5% in. I'm so glad I have these videos to look back on. Thanks for paying attention :)

  • I meant to say 95% grown in lol

  • I'm getting my done tomorrow and I'm terrified I don't wanna look like a boy lol I know silly right! I love you and your daughter's hair...hopefully mine will turn out like that in a couple of months

  • you are a beautiful girl. You'll look great. It will be an adjustment for you at first but you will get used to it as with any other new hair style

  • I want lock'd hair mah mom won't let me :(

  • Well when you become and adult you will be able to make your own decisions :)

  • I love it! I am planning to lock my 5 year old's hair this week actually and my sister tried to discourage me because my daughter is young. I want my daughter to see how her hair is beautiful naturally. She sees dolls and different hair types at school and she tells me she wants shiny hair like the dolls. I wanted to do something with her natural hair to boost her confidence. Thank you for sharing your daughter is beautiful! That is the confidence I want to instill in my daughter.

  • It's so hard to teach your kids to love themselves when the media only betrays european standards of beauty. Don't let anyone discourage you. You are her mother and you know what's best for her. My daughter loves her hair to death. When she annoys me I tell her I'm going to take her locks out she gets so upset, on the verge of tears lol. I didn't let anyone sway my descison. My husband was reluctant at first but now he loves her hair and thinks it the best decision I made for her.

  • love the pic at 00:33

  • maybe I should look into it because they look nice. But my daughter has too much hair. Check out my page I did some flexi rods on her.

  • My daughter would lov'em if I didnt have to come her hair. LOL

  • That is one of the reasons she wanted to get locks lol!

  • lol...snaggatooth. She soooo pretty.

  • I know lol! They are taking so long to grow in. There are almost there now.

  • OMG!! Your daughter is sooo beautiful, you have given her such a priceless gift, appreciation of HERSELF!!! AND IT SHOWS, she is sooo beautiful. Many BLESSINGS TO U & YOUR FAMILY.

  • She is cute. I love her hair.

  • she so adorable

  • Cute girl

  • Thats so cool to me. you can tell she really likes locs because she likes them and not because her mom said so and i say that with respect. She's adorable and hopefully when she gets older she'll stay natural in whatever hairstyle she chooses. Love the vid

  • Thank you. I told her if she want to change them in the future I have no problem. But as long as she lives with me her hair has to be natural not perm or relaxers.

  • Yeah it's possible as with any other hair style... weather it's braid, locs, or a perm. I don't mind if she wants to take them out in the future, as long as she remains natural.

  • Your daughter's hair is SO CUTE.. :) She's adorable. many blessings.

  • Thanks

  • She is beautiful!!

  • Your daughter is adorable. And her hair is gorgeous. Its wonderful to see such a young child appreciating her natural hair and beauty. :-)

  • thank you :)

  • She is soo cute!

  • thanks for the info

  • I have a 5yr,4yr,2yr ols with locs how do you keep her hair so lint free? I cannot keep their heads covered

  • I don't use heavy product in her hair. No beeswax or grease. I only use setting lotion to twist her hair. A water based alcohol free gel works just as well. This stuff washes out really easy. If she needs some moisture I use just a little olive oil. I also wash her hair every two weeks (sometimes every week) to keep it lent free.

  • You have a flutist in the house, HEY I have a flutist in the house as well! Your daughter's are gorgeous. You have much to be proud of :-)

  • ??? I'm confused?

  • I hear music that sounds like a flute in the background of your video :-) My daughter plays the flute as well. :-)

  • You have good ears lol! My oldest just started playing the flute in September. She's pretty good. She just started her private lessons January 9th. I believe it may be one of her callings. How long has your child been playing?

  • OMG she is too precious. Great job! :)

  • She seems so proud of her locs. She has a beautiful personality.

  • She is too precious!

  • She is such a cutie... I can't wait to see her locs grow grow grow. They are just beautiful you are doing such a good job.

  • very cute!

  • AHHHHHH how cute is she, i love the style at 2:00, looking good as usual

  • Your daughter is so adorable! You're an awesome mother...i love how close you and your daughter are.

  • Thank you so much.

  • OMG!! she's a little DIVA! so charming already. Thanks for the update. It made my day, really! lol

  • You are reading my mind! I was just about to send you a message to check out her video! How you locks coming along?

  • aww, she is too cute. Her hair is really growing. It doesn't even seem like 5 months when you started her hair. Great job :)

  • finally a black little girl with a healthy attitude and love for her beautiful hair. Good job Mom.

  • Diva in the making..Especially at 33 seconds..so cute

  • Her hair is coming along beautifully. I can tell she really likes it and thats important. I have a 6 year old son, most 6 year olds that I know let you know when they do'nt like something. It has grown a lot since the first video. Keep up the good work.

  • she is so beautiful, by the time she turn 18 her locs will be so long and nice. Nice video "until next time.

    BLess

  • Yeah. They'll probally be dragging on the floor by then lol

  • Her hair is growing nicely....She is so pretty and she does talk really well....

  • all they are real cute!!!

  • i love her lol. that was beautiful. you are amazing for showing your child the truth. thank you. and lol @ little bill at the end.

  • Her locs look great!

  • beautiful young lady...

  • OMG-she is so well spoken and beautiful! Great job mom! My will be 4 in feb and she is still asking for locs and these vids are a confirmation that this will be a good thing for her. Thanks tbey!

  • Trust me she will love it. The great thing about being a child is that they don't worry about what other's think. If they see something and like it they want it no questions ask. So if she wants locks give it to her.

  • She is too cute.....

  • Thanks. She's a lock star in training lol. When are you going to post some pics of you locks?

  • How adorable! Her hair is definitely coming along well! I can tell she really loves them too! You're doing an excellent job with her hair.

(Why did it look like Little Bill was looking at the camera too at 2:21? lol)

  • Little bill wanted some you tube air time too lol.

  • Absolutely Adorable!!!!!

  • Wow, shes too adorable, I also respect that you teach them about natural beauty at such a young age. Great vid

  • Ohmigosh! She is sooooo CUTE!!! her locs are coming along so well! And I love how you do different hairstyles with her hair.

  • Thanks. This style came by accident. When I was twisting her locks I clip two locks with one clamp. They twisted together by itself. I liked how it looked. So I just continued it in the same pattern clipping two locks with one clamp and it came out like this. When it dried I removed the clamps and put rubber bands. next time I'll probally use beads.

  • After a while of you leaving her hair like that they'll probably turn crinkly and that'll be a whole other hairstyle that she can wear.

  • I know! I think this will be here everyday style now. I think it'll last 3 weeks or so.

  • from the vids that i've seen you make, she's just like you! [how she talks and things like that] especially the tongue pop that she did:] she's adorable!! how many locs does she have?

  • You think so? Thank you lol. She had 73, now she has 72 locks. I just combined two into one today.

  • That's awesome! I absolutely respect that and when I start my family I intend to do the same too. Thank you again for letting us in to see that. Much love, and stay blessed!

  • What a beautiful lesson you are teaching your daughter and you are a wonderful example of self love and natural beauty too. Excellent! Thanks for sharing.

  • I didn't want my children to hate their natrual feature and texture of hair like I did when I was young. I have taught them from birth that they are beautiful naturally. Thank you for your comment.

  • I agree sunnywaterfalls. We need more of this.

  • Hey Girl, She is STILL 2 cute for words and smart! They are YET looking good and growing.

  • Girl u and your daughter's hair look wonderful and she is a cutie pie. I'm in ny too tell me where u got to get your locks started if it is not too peronal.
