  • We don't need cars for so many trips - lazy fat 'kers take the car everywhere, with most trips being under 5 miles. Use a bicycle for most of these.

Bicycles run on fat, and save you money. Cars run on money, and make you fat.

  • The problem with cars is inherint in the concept of the car. That is big heavy thing used to transport person less then one tenth the weight of car. Whatever powers it it WILL BE inefficient. It will use up an unnecessary road space and create distance and we will still end up burning more fossil fuels to create the electricity. The danger created by cars is also still there. Sure there will still need to be some car like vehicles, but for most personal transport you could use tech better.

  • Electric vehicles won't solve our problems... sorry. Only people who don't understand physics, engineering, traffic, and so on think these things are a great idea. As for noise... most car noise is in fact *tyre* noise, not engine noise.

Good luck with this... you're going to need it.

  • we have hit the future, welcome.

  • @mb013962 SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • ill add a solar panel to my electric car . lol

  • i cant wait to get one of these!! bring on the electric as quickly as like skylines and wrx..just trouble that crap is!! and there not collectable or ever to be classic like the stang IS FOREVER..

  • That turtleneck is the perfect representation of the people that will be driving these EV's :P

  • i bet it takes about 500 years to charge though and has a top speed of.... 50...

  • @j4416m EV will get to your speed limit quicker than most zippy gas powered production cars. Mitsubishi EV car goes 80 mph. 70769 we mostly go to the city and that uses around 10 miles of interstate if we are lucky 70 mph. Most part we are on the road 35 mph tops we go to town 6 miles away with multiple stop signs we go to work gym and the store we have every thing we need. Just can't wrap my mind around spending this much for a car with these limitations with projected ROI is around 20 years.

  • @j4416m You must be a thick twat

  • 88 motor mechanics who make a living out of gas engines that keep falling apart disliked this video.

  • I think it is a great move towards our future. At least Ford has the balls to step up and try. Ya can't ' knock inovation. Get some solar and wind at your home and help the cause

  • @leamyelectricinc1 so did tesla.. and nissan. and some others :)

  • @RazgrizAcer I contacted Toyota about this issue and they said that the cost versus benefit ratio was too great and the customer would burn off the amount of energy saved in seconds. It would be like attaching one of those windmill toys for kids (the ones that many people put in their garden) to the roof to get wind power. But I was thinking the same thing that you were.

  • @d23daja - The Volt is a hybrid because it has an electric motor and an internal combustion engine, both of which can directly drive the wheels.

  • i want one :) :) :)

  • good looking car... specially like the aston martin like grille

  • Trip hazard!

  • @reddnec Yeah I agree. In this country everything is a safety hazard. Not the moron that will not watch where he's going that gets blamed. Welcome to America. The land of the "DE-RESPONSABILITIZATION"

  • I don't think public charge stations will work because of the potentially long waiting times, on the other hand, battery swap stations, I could definitely see that working.

  • @urcritic "I don't think public charge stations will work because of the potentially long waiting times" Perhaps but on the flip side a lot of people might not be using them because they charged at home earlier that day.

  • Why doesn't it have connectivity to your home

  • can u get red ring of death? 1:50

  • It should recharge it self. Option a solar panel ford

  • I don't like the part were you have to buy electric. It should be free

  • 1:46 I wonder if it shows the infamous 3rl when something is wrong

  • Wow! So many comments mentioning the car being unplugged, did nobody notice the app monitoring the vehicles charge status.

  • @orangejedi825 really then what is it according to motor trend it is & it is not a hybrid because a hybrid uses the gas motor to power the battery

  • No brasil este veiculo custaria, no minimo R$ 400.000,00 (U$ 200.000,00)

  • And here in Brazil we don't ever dream about electric cars... :(

  • the tesla s will blow it away

  • Pretty nice 2nd best EV volt is better though how much do these cost

  • @d23daja - The Volt isn't an EV.

  • @orangejedi829 than what is it its not a hybrid if you seem to know so much why dont you share it with the rest of us

  • Lol. If it runs out of power it gets the blue ring of death.

  • Where the hell do you find a charging spot?!

  • Your girl: Lest go have dinner tonight.

You: Sorry my car is out of batteries. I wen to visit a friend tonight and I barely made it back home.

  • shame they killed Saturn EVs -.-

  • Awesome

  • then go and fuck u bloody ashole

  • Overrated Not really interesting

  • aston marting from the front, rogue from, focus body. wtf

  • aston martin............

  • Tripping hazard?

  • Interested.. i'd buy one but the charge thingy should be at HOME.. not on the street where kids can cut the wire.. or drunk people can go nuts..

  • cool

  • What about doing this on a car that people would buy, maybe a mustang or dodge challenger

  • it looks good.

  • And what about long road trips?

  • I dont think fueling up will actually be a problem, it just requires a change in how we do things. For instance, instead of waiting untill the tank is almost empty and rushing to fill up on the way to work, what if you leave it to charge at home while you sleep? Then when you get to work you can charge it all day if you want. Perhaps cafe's will have outlets so you can charge while you grab a coffee? I think they will be EVERYWHERE oneday

  • Still a Ford. Still American. Still shitty.

  • @3ndlessSky hater

  • Butterflies huh... the new American muscle car.

  • man we are all gonna be trippin on the streets.

  • i can see a few things wrong with it, but it's a step in the right direction...

  • WHATS HAPPENING ITS YOUR BOI PHENOM EVERYBODY SHOW YOUR BOI SOME LOVE AND CHECK OUT MY VIDEOS MUCH LOVE

  • the fuel flap is amazing

  • Uhm, a Volkswagen ad before the video. -.-

  • @candyglazed lol i said the same thing to myself..

  • You must consider the inconsiderate people who may find amusement by tampering with the charger... For some reason that was a flaw I immediately saw..

  • Filmed in Michigan note the craptastic roads.

  • What happens if a shit person comes along and unplugs it?

  • @nargy the app tells you through your mobile device.

  • @nargy most v8 drivers would punch them in the face, a EV driver will get the message from their phone and plug it back in...

  • @nargy well in normal cases you would have gasoline all over the ground which isn't the case now..

  • @nargy the plug is locked until the owner comes with a card and scans it.

  • @nargy shit happens...

  • @nargy plug locks.

  • @nargy You get notified on your phone that charging has stopped. You review the security camera, and ID the jerk that unplugged it. Then you swear out a warrant for vehicle tampering and get him convicted in court. End of story.

  • @nargy honestly... thats what i'm asking myself too everytime... too many jokers out there who think it's funny if someone else gets late for work or something...

  • Auf dieses Video antworten... it reminds me at the kia ceed...

  • wait.. we all dress like steve jobs when driving electric vehicles?

  • "So, i pay about 300 in gas a month, you?" "I pay an extra 350 on my hydro bill a month..."

  • electrical cars aren't even good for the environment

  • @uropenbook

    they should be solar powered!!!

  • @frvfilms I know, it's not any better than having gas cars :S

  • Lol, no man can drive this. for example

Dude with truck: "I get 15 miles to the gallon"

Dude with this: "I get 50 miles to the volt or w.e"

Dude with truck: "I can haul 15 tons"

Dude with this: "I need to lose weight..."

  • 2:49 to skip ad.

  • I watched the whole video for some reason...

  • It's not better than my Kia.

  • is that sci fi

  • But will it blend?

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, that's all very great...but can it read?

Anyways this car looks like a cheap knock off of a Jaguar.

  • the best looking ford ive ever seen tho

  • is it really that loud or is that just the camera car? and they take about 5 hours or something to charge :P

  • CHEVROLET SUCK MY D... FOR THAT REASON , GOT NO ECOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY

  • :) Hello in your channel

  • what happens if there is a blackout?

  • I'm sure ford sucks at making batterys, should have bought a tesla!

  • autotuningnews LOL its like auto tune the news

  • gay

  • So what's to stop someone from strolling up and pulling out the charging cord?

  • Ford fahren, Ford schmeißen.

  • New achievement unlocked: Smug alert! Saved 10,000 pounds of CO2

  • Somebody would mess with that lol

  • I dont get it... electricity is more expensive than petrol

  • @macgiver351 it is but it costs the state less cuz i guess they aint going to buy alot of oil anymore lol

  • Looks like they've tried to make the front look like an Aston Martin but it was born with Down Syndrome

  • 0:13 look at the guy for 5 seconds.. then look at the guy in the car at 0:49 ... someone jacked the car and is caught on video!

  • Aston Martin and Ford share a little too much, now. Look at ts front grille.

  • 1:45 reminds me of the xbox controllers

  • Is it coasting?

  • But will it blend..?

  • Ok I'm all for the fuel economy idea, but for fuck sakes do you really need to make the cars as gay as the engines? Make a muscle car looking electric car.

  • @YoCzechYourself Ironic isnt it...

  • would the charging plug by any chance be able to fit in my butthole

  • Ok... you can charge it in the parking lot... but someone could easily unplug the cable from your car and charge their own car??... what security measures does this have?

  • @hiddenangel89 well your not suppose to have it unintended, its like going to the gas station, you can do the same thing but get in trouble for it.

  • @imagonalicku Well... as they show it on this video... it looks like this "charging station" is meant to be left charging while you go shopping/eating/sleeping...

  • Who gives. I've got a damn horse!

  • now, show me canister.

  • how long does it take to charge the car from lets say 1% to 100% ?

  • The new aston martin Focus... woohoo. Fuck the police

  • europe version is way better

  • i want 2:49 minutes back in my life

  • All we need now is electricity... from the grid... from the coalplant........

    "Green"

  • @dustinkervodka Maybe invest in a solar panel for your roof, or perhaps pressure your government to put up more windmills and remove coal plants....or perhaps vote for someone who cares about a building a green economy, not one that tries to keep the black economy alive as it fails. *gasps*

Also! A coal-plant is better than a bunch of mini gasoline plants!

  • Comment removed

  • @dustinkervodka lol why'd your comment get removed? and I'm not talking garden windmills, and I have studied the topic enough to understand, thanks. But a mountain covered in giant windmills, or every house in suburbia that has daylight for 80% of the day being covered in solar panels...Also,oil is THE WORST power source, extremely inefficient, and extremely dirty, as is coal, and it costs money, unlike the sun and wind. And if your near the coast, harness wave energy!

  • @dustinkervodka Quebec does not have a single coal plant, but instead harnessed the power of water and wind! They have a surplus of energy and sell that surplus to america! The majority of their GDP is from FREE green energy! Invest now, profit later. We had the technology in the 60s, Europe is implementing it, Canada is implementing it, Asia did long ago and has plans to do it for Africa now. Why does America go into dept for oil when they could have spent it on renewable resources. Study.

  • An electric car that doesn't look fuckin stupid

  • this just ruined every aston martin ive ever seen

  • I wonder how long it takes to charge the batteries and how far you can drive with one charge.

I bet it takes half a day and range is about 200km which would render this think useless for me.

  • Ta chingon

  • Oh Henry would be proud, I guess...

  • aston martin facelift?

  • werid it looks different from the regular focus

  • @tchuplec Maybe because Ford owns Aston Martin

  • @InfinityR319 Ford sold Aston in 2007, so no, they don't.

  • I can see teenagers trolling and unplugging these cars, then pissing in the electrical socket...

  • @keatross agreed. We will need charge stations just like gas stations that has multiple charge points and must be monitored by security. And technology must be advanced enough for the charge process to be fast enough just like pumping gas.

  • Im going buy myself this car :)

  • cool car

  • whats stopping me fromm parking my ford focus next to that one in the video and simply unplugging the cable and putting it in mine?

  • @TheRubenator05 Them polices are everywhererrrreee lol, but good question, I'm guessing there's a lock on it or something?

  • @TheShinraCorp fuuuuuck da police!

  • Thats sick!

  • the most ugliest focus ever

  • now if they can make electric cars that dont look gay

  • the only thing that makes this such a dumb idea.......wtf are all the chargers?

  • And then some duchebag comes along and unplugs it.

  • the grill kinda reminds me of an aston martin's

  • A simple pair of wire cutters would turn this guys great day into a terrible one lol

  • I'd buy it if it's cheaper than gas car!! But it's NOT!!!

  • @enkii82 Yeah thanks for your valuable input.

  • What ever happend to the idea of a car running on water, that seems like a much better solution than a car that runs on electricity.

  • @TheMisterRedonkulis car running on water is bad for the envrionment. Too much water vapor will be in the atmosphere thus traping in too much heat. I think it's arleady hot enough.

  • @MrToad321 no the engine extracts the ydrogen from the water and burns that

  • @MrToad321 since our electricity is produced with steam turbines anyway, it leads to steam this or that way

  • @MrToad321 lol heaven forbid there is any H20 vapor in the sky! Might stop the CO2 and CO from doing it's job of melting ice caps and stop the ocean currents from creating more water vapor to rain down on your crops so you can eat and also have fresh water to drink! Heaven forbid there's more clouds in the sky!!

He said..."car running on water is bad for the envrionment. Too much water vapor will be in the atmosphere thus traping in too much heat. I think it's arleady hot enough."

  • @TheMisterRedonkulis I agree with you 100%. I think Hydrogen cars will make a comeback. Electric cars will just the bridge car's to Hydrogen.

  • i have a feeling it will still break down in 2 years like every other ford

  • looks like an aston martin with that front. lol

  • I don't like the way the world is going...

  • funny cos this is an american trailer i dont feel interested. but if it was an ad where they run over pedestrians outside harrods id be all about this.

  • funny thing is, is that the charge point is linked up to a power plant, which is run on coal/oil

  • @purestr8str Glad someone actually realizes that... They need to change the power plants to be renewable first. The whole EV thing is a waste of our and the car companies money at this point....

  • @purestr8str In Manitoba, our Electricity is all Hydro.

  • @purestr8str I've been told that the power plant is way more efficient than a car engine. A large percentage of the energy of gasoline is lost as heat coming from your radiator that you need to keep your engine from melting. If this is true then we would reduce the amount of fuel we use.

  • @purestr8str The positive is that it's a start!

  • @purestr8str Funny thing is that those powerplants are there either way, so driving this insted of a gas car is in fact more "green"... and this car looks great compared to the other green cars.

  • @purestr8str

Well it wouldn't be that ironic if this video was stationed in Vancouver. Hydro electricity.... but yes I understand hydro electricity is not exactly disturbance free either.

  • This video is from the Featured :D

  • hidious front grill...

  • When I first saw the front I thought is was a mini aston martin

  • that red suv was trying to park in that spot...

  • I know mechanics that just got out of school are going to be PISSED ...

  • /watch?v=bM5m2dmpJeA ♥ it

  • Absolutely fantastic for -20 degrees Celsius. Immediate engine start guaranteed.

  • amazing car ford doing gud job

  • @khan745144 Gud written:)))
