The main cause of circuit breakers tripping in my home is when someone is using a kettle, a coffee maker, the high powered electric fan above the stove, and the microwave or the ceiling lights in whatever combination. You have NO idea how skittish I am at the possibility that an appliance shorted out causing an overload.

you failed to point out the NEC now requires smoke dectors to have the 3 beep pause 3 beep horn pattern.
