Yes, you make a very good point. Many of my originals are more vocally focused with lots of piano improve. I expected people to dismiss them if they are more harder APC/Tool. And that's cool. In the future I'm looking to get a more percussion intense darker full band sound. Thanks for commenting!

I don't know if anyone remembers when everyone used to say that Stone Temple Pilots used to sound like Pearl Jam, but I never really thought so. Atually if your musically inclined, you can do this. Learn a few chords in all keys, learn how to apeggiate them, go to Ultimateguitar and get the songs you want and then improvise. There's a guy who plays like nothing but Saosin songs here on youtube. Theres a book called Piano in 10 lessons by Norman Monath that teaches you stuff like this. Remember that Incubus became famous because they sounded like Incubus, not for sounding like someone that came before them.
