I should change my "moniker" to "sentimental sap", which I am. What a timeless show! With all the reality barf that is out there now, this would be so re-freshing, if shown again. Family, love, truth, etc. do not change. Michael Landon must have known that, as he went on to "Highway to Heaven". The human soul, believe it or not, longs for stability. That's why "Jesus Christ, yesterday, today, & forever" rings so true.

When I was a kid in the 70's, I used to call this show "Little House On The Fairy" but still, its a good show, has depth , great charachter development, plots, sub-plots and a message which alot of shows don't seem to have anymore. TV today is just a bunch of stupid people doing stupid shit for money.

Wow! Im 32 yrs old grown man now and i just balled like a baby over this video! I loved this show and it makes me remember my mom and aunt putting their hair up in bobby pins on sunday afternoons. They are both gone now but these shows trigger great memories for me. This show stood for such GOOD family values that is so hard to find now on tv and none on that level. If you look in the Webster's dictionary under the "perfect TV show" Little House on the Prarie, should be the definition. I watched it growing up and now my children love it as well. I wonder why Hollywood cant figure out that this is what most Americans want in a TV show. Not the smut that is flooding our airwaves. Most of the shows they put out now only last a year or two and get cancelled. Cursing and Nudity in TV programs nowadays should not be something we have to put up with.
