every time i go on vacation to germany or other places where germans are, pretty much everywhere in europe;), i meet germans who can't talk a word english. Luckily i speak german quite well. But sometimes i can't find the german word for something.

In holland (where i come from) most people speak english, and they do it quite well. If you think germans can speak english you gotta tell me where you life:P

Germans also never try to talk english here in holland, they always approach me and everone else speaking in german. A dutch person would never do such a thing.
