  • This is just FANTASTIC indeed!

  • Is what song on this other part of p disc?

  • piękna piosenka

  • Love this record....but it sounds much earlier than '36...?

  • Super record? The Polish Polka fans will be mad.JK

  • SUPER DUPER AND SPECTACULAR!

  • naprawde super piosenka. pozdrawiam !

  • Such smart, cosmopolitan orchestration; the sound here is absolutely perfect!

  • Henry, Thank you so much for sharing, this is now my signature song since I live in New York and I am a Polish NEW YORK BABY! I love it!

  • As all Henryk Gold recordings I've had the priviledge to hear on YT, this was excellent!

  • Thank you Stompy23 for your upload ***** and I like looking forward to listen the flip side of this record's by this great orchestra ;-)

  • Excellent !!

  • A nice sophisticated arrangement of a song I am unfamiliar with. Thanks for posting.

  • It was - let us say - probably the best orchestra in Poland of that time; you may find a few exaples of it at YT; at my channel: "Całuj mnie !" - foxtrot.

E.Schlechter sang rarely, he was a lyricist.

The present record was made for Warsaw Columbia in 1933.

    Danke.

  • Thank you, jurek, for these informations. Now I've seen there are other interesting H. Gold videos on youtube. It's a pity this is the only Henryk Gold record in my collection. I wish I had more.

  • If I am not mistaken on the flip side is tango "Indie" - wonderfully played (I see - not your genre...) but it should be mentioned that H.Gold's orchestra made especially beautiful arrangements for tangos and tango accounted for more than 3/4 of all pop music in pre-war Poland.

  • Indeed the reverse is something like what you said: Piesn O Indjach, a Tango from the same musical. Vocal is by Janusz Poplawsky.

  • Yes, thank you, may be translated as "A Song about India" and you encouraged me to present one day by myself this wonderfully played and sung tango.
