Its sad to see this.Reminds me of a 200 or 250 year old inn across from the church where Robert Frost is buried.Its just falling in.Same with a 270 year old inn in NC.The new owner won't clean it up and remove the absestos.The city has sued him too and its just dragging on and on.
Most folks ( the educated ones or whom travel a lot ) know that NJ and NY are very expensive.Property taxes easily run around $ 10,000 a year or less.A dumpy house in the Bronx sells for half a million.

Just visited this place yesterday. I couldn't find as many bldgs as you photographed as I wasn't sure where to look. 3 structures,including the mansion,are now fenced in and what looks like an old school house is well boarded up. Also saw railroad tracks now overgrown with brush. Any idea what line ran there and when it ceased running?

TomTuckerton was not there when we shot took the pictures, he is a know it all that has no idea really what he is talking about. We entered one building and it was for sale! We only entered the shed even! There were a couple of people in the house at the time checking it out (perspective buyers) so we didn't go in there also.
