@ihmemies2 Not true. Black metal has it's staples and elements, but branching out and adding other elements doesn't "unblackmetalify" it. That's the whole idea of black metal, to be different and separate from herd. And not all black metal is "very simple." Have you listened to Abigail Williams before? They're pretty damn technical.

@FLIPPITYFLOOP Feel your pain, bro, I always heard 'druudkhhh with a flat U and a 'kkkkkhhhh' like the beginning of the word 'Chanukah' (uh, the Jewish December festival, I think), but that's what they told me at Generation Records on Thompson Street in NYC; they could have been wrong. Luck! Great tune here, BTW, mass-murderous guitar tone. These guys could make a clown weep.

@FLIPPITYFLOOP I'm always just pronounced it "Druke", just duke with an R, and that seems to convey the message to people who listen to the band, but as far as the original pronounciation goes, I can't even find the word in Sanskrit dictionaries to look it up.

@Naggarmon They didn't release the lyrics to their first few albums. The ones that they did release were all Ukrainian poems, but my guess is you're best off looking on Dark Lyrics.

I went through a phase of thinking Agalloch was beautiful and stuff, but I'm not a huge fan anymore. More than anything, the lyrics and singing bug me. The instrumentation is nice though. I always liked Agalloch's instrumental songs, I'll still play those sometimes.

These guys share little in common with Agalloch. Agalloch takes a lot more folk influences, and drifts away from black metal (though it is obviously present in some of their songs). I love both bands, but they can't be compared.
